And if the first version is flawed, it doesn't take many iterations to fix these things with ML. It'll advance until it looks a generational leap ahead of those trying their hardest to brute force it.

It won't be just Nvidia either, everyone will look into this of course. Any major console platform holders or GPU suppliers sleeping on this would be braindead.

When they shown it to press they already had it working on single RTX5090 in labs. This will be probably limited to 5080/5090 for now and maybe as 60xx feature as it will definitely need a lot of ai ops to do it properly.

NVIDIA has just released a new driver for its graphics cards and from the looks of it, it adds initial support for DLSS 5.

As Guru3D's Warkratos discovered, the new GeForce Game Ready 610.47 adds three DLSS 5 settings. These are DLSS-NR, DLSS-NR Streamline, and DLSS-NR Presets.



To find these strings, you'll have to use the Nvidia Inspector Tool. And, in case you're wondering, no. You cannot force DLSS 5 in any game right now. Even if you enable the preset via the tool, you won't get any DLSS 5 effects in...

I actually own the game because I bought an AMD cpu i think and never played it. didnt like how it looks. but i do want to play it with dlss5 . i kinda liked what they showed.

Maybe that's what Starfield needed. It needed to be a game that showcases new technology but the game itself doesn't hold up years later.
