MS has 143 billion cash on hand warchest and 2.7 trillion USD market cap.

Embracer has 0.36 billion cash on hand and 3 billion USD market cap.

MS can afford to keep running plenty of studios, even regardless of their success, for a long time.

Embracer will go out of business if they don't become leaner and more profitable soon.

Can they though? Is that responsible of them to do?

Sometimes it takes a while to achieve big success. Sometimes you need to fail a few times before you suceed. MS can afford that. Embracer can't. That was the point. But of course MS can still start closing all studios that fail the first time, left and right. They have plenty of experience with that. But it is also true they have different leadership now. Maybe they will be more patient.

Really sad to hear about the layoffs at Fishlabs. I really liked Chorus and hoped for a sequel or a story expansion of some sort.
