How's the pop and uptake? I unsubbed the discord after I didn't get into the beta. Project Gorgon is retro enough to tide me over until I see if Legends is sustainable.

By the time PS3 came around, the MMO market was fully mature and had some other games ready for the cross play complete market (including DC Universe and FFXIV.) Also, the PS2 online infrastructure was stable enough to support FFXI.
I do agree that it always seemed like the console market was underfed by the MMO and that especially SOE's own games (even though there a different Sony from the PlayStation division) were right there yet kept holding off until it was almost too late. EQ on PS should probably been a much bigger force than it was.
EQOA was a silly-ugly game though, even if it was an MMO on resource-strained hardware. (It somehow didn't even require the hdd, that's wild.) I remember not being surprised that it didn't catch on.
