Near the end of the article, the Dengeki interviewer briefly asks about the possibility of another project like The Legend of Nayuta: Boundless Trails being developed. This tale is a spinoff of the Trails series with its own cast in a different setting.

In response, Kondo said that he and the staff are interested in an original project of this nature since the Trails series proper has so many characters. However, due to the number of titles that Falcom is currently working on, a title of this style would likely take a good while to develop, even if approved.
