This page provides information on how to replace the battery HAC-006(-01) in the Joy-Con (R) controller HAC-016(-01), and is intended for use with the Nintendo Battery Replacement Kit HAC-006(-01). These products will be available to purchase from Nintendo Store in the future.

Required Parts and Tools

All required parts and tools are included in the battery replacement kit:

• Replacement battery: model number HAC-006(-01)
• PH00 Phillips (cross-head) screwdriver
• Plastic tweezers
• Plastic spudger (the handle of the included tweezers can be used for this purpose)
• Double-sided tape (with blue film cover)

This is as difficult as repair the original Joycon because of drift,

I'm honestly surprised that this is compliant with the laws. seems really borderline in terms of the complexity to do it.

this makes me wonder how the console battery change will work
