Gameboy Micro tv ad (video inside)

Yea, just saw it, too. Strangely.... mainstream?

I haven't seen a topic on it, but has anyone seen that Citibank commercial featuring the Gamecube? With the two kids acting out some sword & sorcery type fighting game, with two other dudes calling out the moves? "Underarm attack!" It's actually pretty funny....

...my wife liked it, anyway.

Anyone have a direct download link for that video?

(Or for the Citibank GameCube commercial?)

I saw it the other day and thought it was pretty funny. Their "Tired of waiting for your reward?" campaign is a good one.

Saw it today at G4. I thought it was an honest-to-god Target commercial before the Micro was revealed. Then they show camo boy and all the different skins for the micro, and I'm just shaking my head.

I confused it for one of those lame color-target ads, HOW IS THAT A GOOD THING???

Woa, that was the most un-Nintendo like advertisment I'd ever seen from Nintendo.

Who did the commerical?

Saw this the other night and was really confused, it really looked like a Target ad. Too trendy - but I guess that's what Nintendo is trying to go for - the trendy Apple fanboys (I say this as I'm listening to my iPod)

i liked how she was walking forwards and then it flicked to her walking backwards and then back to walking forwards really quick.

"Make it yours" ??

...wait a minute...

... that's right!

First I thought the song was ELO's "Mr. Blue Sky", then the bassline dropped and broke my heart.

EDIT: nvm, that was a Volkswagen commercial.

And DAMN is that a tiny screen.

This is primarily why I don't understand the interest in the product. I can understand the chic value of going small with audio (ala the Nano), but when you need the screen to play, what you get on the Micro just seems way too small.

Like most Nintendo ads, this is pretty weak. Maybe they should've grabbed the micro or something to give viewers a sense of it's size, you know, drive the major selling point of the product across. Or is other people wanting one their best selling point? :\

It's pretty good. I still think Sony's commercials where humans try to re-inact things from videogames (Jax comes to mind) are the funniest. Nintendo should hire the mega64 staff to create their commercials :p

The commercial has been airing everywhere. Well, at least on the channels that I was watching. I thought the commercial was alright. I didn't know it was a Micro commercial, or let alone a Nintendo commercial at first until the Micro came on screen. It's not your typical Nintendo commercial but then again, they are targeting a different audience with the Micro so I guess the commercials should fit that audience. I didn't much care for it though.

Also, people commenting on the system's screen, you really have to see it up close to believe it. It may be smaller but it is one of the best damn screens that you can play GBA games on. Very sharp and lots of brightness settings. It's not hard to see at all.

I saw this ad like 5 times last night, but it was snipped to a 15-second version.

The commercial's not too bad. Like other people have said, I had no idea it was a Nintendo commercial until it showed the Micro... definitely not what I was expecting.

I'm still scratching my head as to why they decided to go with this girl for the majority of the commercial as opposed to the guy, but at the same time I can see how the ad would appeal to females -- It caught my attention, for sure.

..... huh?!

That was my impression when I saw the advert.

I think they got the right girl (and guy) but the advert itself wasn't memorable. It's obvious that they, NOE, are trying to market the machine as a fashion statement, but that statement didn't feel that strong in comparison to what NOJ did with the NintendoDE.

That commercial motivated me to grab my cash, run to the nearest Gamestop...and buy a revised SP.
