It's getting silly now - I play nothing else >_<
I cane through it to the end, train up on the final boss Gluon for hours - then manage to tear myself away from it only to get back on 10 minutes or so later XD

Loves the Greater Toronto Area
City of Heroes - and before you disqualify it for being an MMOG, let me just say that has nothing to do with it.. Stick the character creator and the same existing content in a single player gams and I would STILL play it forever..

Civilization (1, 2, or 3) and SimCity (1,2,3,or 4) - Note that there being no ending has nothing to do with the lastability on these games... The fact that the game keeps evolving and morphing based on a combination of luck and your skill is what does it.. and the fact that for the most part you can correct your mistakes even after they happen.

but, the most playable one for me has to right now be... Neverwinter Nights... though that is kind of a trcik answer.. The game and two expansions would hardly be replayable for me.. What does it is simply the module community and player community. Thousands of players and DMs who want to game weekly just like the old PnP days... NWN isn't a game so much as a game engine and social experiment.. MMOGs are great and all, but a sad sad excuse for 6 players and a dungeon master.

for whatever reason, i rarely get tired of popping in ssx3. the freeride mode has a lot to do with it. it's very relaxing, especially since you can just get off at any course that interests you. also, you can just turn off the music if it's irritating. the ambient sound is nice.

Robotron - Arcade
Herzog Zwei - Genesis
Sonic The Hedgehog - Genesis

and yes JJ & Jeff on Turbo Grafx (I love 2D side-scrollers)

Castlevania SotN and Super Metroid are the two games I find myself replaying over and over. I need to play Super Metroid regularly every few years, and when I need a game and don't know which to play, or I don't feel like playing whatever is on my plate now, I play Castlevania.

I can also play Super Mario Bros 3 forever, which is why I wish it had included all the extras instead of charging for them and then releasing less than half of them over here.

Now I'm off to play Front Mission 4. I put so much time into 3 that, while I never replayed anything, I think I still logged just as much time between both quests and the internet as I have played Castlevania SotN.

I don't see how anyone can list most games from this generation, as they aren't old enough yet to gauge replay value.

Strangely, most of the games made these days I only play once and then never touch again, but that one play through might have been better then some of the games that you can always pick up and play.

You guys could just endlessly play one of those titles, all day, every day, for the rest of your lives? Interesting.

I think a game "that you could play endlessly" should revolve around setting new high scores. Otherwise it would get dull quickly..
