Please dont leech: Twin Elements, Nezha, Baal, Dark Angel Olivia, Lich, Odin, Garuda, Grand Order, Athena, Apollo, Grani.

Unless your ultra weak and low level, I dont think one should leech their own raid. Bad etiquette and rude.

For the T1/2 raids, I think the 30-man versions are okay to leech.

For magnafest Grande Zooey I hit her once then afk until final phase, and come back to help kill it. This way my eyeballs don't explode from morons triggering the 100% defense buff.

Ah ok, I guess I have some time to naturally get stronger then, I'm only rank 20 something.

That's me, for now, but I get it. I would have thought it to be more rude to leech on someone else's resources by taking a spot on their raid party and not fully contributing, but I can at least work on getting Hawkeye unlocked.

The raids I'm talking about are these little "3 times a day" raids like Tiamat and Iron Colossus. I guess it's not against etiquette to just start one of them and open the invitation to everyone, right? I seem to have pretty good luck so far with someone coming in and 1shotting them for me, and they don't seem upset about it.

the truth is, there is different psychology at work for new player and old player.

new player tends to think it is bad to ask too much help for stronger player, something like it "i feel bad relying on them and not helping".

But old player, whenever they join raid, thinks like "i hope no one join so that i can take the MVP". That's why #1 complain for most veteran player is "the raid is finished before I can attack".

It is totally okay to leech any raid. But focus on Omega raid first and there is no such thing as failed Omega raid. So don't think too hard about it.

Leech hard and get stronger fast.

During t2 raid bug, even veteran player leech hard on Baal, Athena raid.

join raid, cast random skill (preferaably Ground Zero)
then exit, leech another raid.

In 1 minutes they can leech 2-3 raid and people are totally okay with it.

Man personally I get mad when people ask for help on the normal/hard Tiamat/Colossus/Leviathan etc. raids. They always just sit in my available raids list and take up space that could be used for another omega raid or higher.

Of course not. You are giving the MVP red chest away by doing this, which is the second most valuable loot chest (the host chest being the most). Early in the game it's worth losing the MVP chest to still get the host chest. In time, you'll be able to MVP/solo those raids yourself. This game thrives on raid-sharing.

Also, in the case of HARD mode raids, you are actually probably clogging the raid list of other veteran players and they may simply just be killing it out of annoyance. Just a tip, don't open low level raids (anything weaker than Omega) to Friends or you might get unfriended lol.

Leeching and helping are different lol. Leeching is when you don't really contribute to the fight and only do a minimal amount of damage to be eligible for loot to drop. For raids with up to 30 people, leeching is expected as part of the game, but it is generally never appreciated by the person hosting the raid (exception: you put 9 ranks of Treasure Hunter on the boss then peaced out). For raids of 6-18 people, leeching is considered rude. And in the case of some 6 player raids, even 1 person leeching can cause the raid to be unwinnable.

Joining a raid hosted by someone else and actually fighting is not leeching. Even if you're too weak to solo or MVP the fight, you can contribute by casting useful buffs, debuffs, heals, etc.

MVP stealing is also part of the game. If you don't want someone else to join your raid and take MVP from you, don't call for help from the public (at least until you've done enough damage to where it's impossible for someone else to overtake your score). Of course, pre-arranged raids with friends/guild/etc. can be a different matter where people stronger than you can hold back to respect MVP agreements.

Thanks for the tips all. I saw that Diablo is currently up for farming, so i went in to the level 20 normal mission and got KO'd with him at about 5% HP. Went back into the upgrade menu and got all of my equipped gear to about level 25, and went back in with Bahamut friend summon (like 120% dark damage aura buff) and was able to 3 turn him. What a difference the right preparations makes.

Where can I get one of those Bahamut summons btw, that thing boosted the hell out of my damage since I'm running a dark team.

Pray to the Astrals that you draw him in premium draw ^_^ Though its pretty common that I think just everyone has a Bahamut.

Cool, I'll def keep an eye out for his rate ups if they ever have any.

So I just was perusing around one of the million banners and buttons (this game UI is really confusing to new players) and somehow found Festival of the Falling Flame. I already unlocked the SR character and am planning on farming that Phoenix summon which should be a huge net gain to my overall attack, despite not being dark based. Right now I'm using a fire bumble bee summon that I could gladly swap out. Also going to keep grinding out Diablo, but his drop rate seems a little low so I'm not confident I can get him today, but I'll try. I think when I get some SR/SSR summons and replace these Ns and Rs, it should help quite a bit.

I also saw on the Wiki that Jack O' Lantern is a special dark SSR summon given out at a Halloween. Is there a good chance it'll be back this year? He looks really helpful for a noob dark team (free blue potion and 20% atk buff).

Overall game plan for summons:

Your main summon essentially determines what type of weapon grid you will build. Your main summon has two different ways it can help your stats through its "aura". Either it can give an across the board buff to characters/attacks of a certain element, or it can multiply the buffs you get from the weapon skills in your grid. Most summons from events and gacha are of the first type, and will be something like 40% increase to fire attack or dark characters attack or something like that. These summons are good to have but will pretty much always be filler that you will eventually replace, at least as your main summon (with possible exceptions for the highest Bahamut/Lucifer tier but maybe not I don't have any of them so I haven't paid much attention there).

The second type of main summon, that multiplies your weapon skill, will be your main goal. Omega (magna in JP version and both terms are used interchangeably) summons for the main six island bosses (Tiamat, Leviathan, etc.) are relatively easy to farm and will quickly become better than any event or "showdown" summon like Diablo once you use them along with the corresponding omega SSR weapons on your grid. The weapons and the summon drop from the same place, from fighting the Omega raid for that boss. But you do need both the weapons and the summon for these to work right.

The aura isn't the only thing to pay attention to for summons though. There's also the stats for the summons, including the four you choose for your support grid. The Omega summons don't have great stats, so they are not good long term choices for your support summon grid. Diablo, Ifrit, and Anat all have good stats and can be farmed (casino for Anat). So that's another avenue to pursue.

Thanks, this is very helpful! I've been farming the Normal Diablo fight pretty much all night last night. I'm trying to get my first copy of him before his quest disappears for a few days.

For the farmable summons - how many copies do I generally want?

4 copies, so you can MLB it, it gives better bonus effects then.

So I've been reading to save my resources for Legfest (or I guess more well known as Galas). Do these happen every month, and are they announced in advance, or do they just drop? The desire to pull some new units is burning.

The new units are sometimes(always?) shown in famitsu beforehand but either way the dates are always the day before a month ends and the 1st and 2nd of the next month or something like that, it never changes that much. In case you haven't noticed we are having a promotion with daily free draws so you might get some unit like that (if you are extremely lucky).

Thanks. I'll continue to hoard and do the free dailies for now. The 3%->6% SSR chance is worth it. I almost have my Postboard quests done anyways, which gives me a guaranteed SSR weapon (no dupes please!). I just have to figure out how to get 1000 casino chips. I tried the poker and lost it all. Is it better/possible to just buy the chips with rupees for the quest, or do you have to win 1000?

If you look at the daily login rewards board, you will see that you can get casino chips every few days. Just wait a couple weeks until you have a few thousand chips then you can go play poker and be able to afford some losses.

Hell yea, Unlocked Raider class for the drop boosting skill, and after that it was much easier getting Diablo's gold chest drop. I now have Diablo summon and that dark SR dagger (was previously using fire dagger which sucked for my synergy with my dark team).

The strength progression feels really good for this game. Would it be better for me to farm 3 more Diablos for limit break or farm those dark weapons (right now my equipped pool has a mix of fire/water/dark/wind) for best net gains?

I used to think that Diablo Bow is totally useless. But some high level player actually said that Diablo Bow is used even for Celeste enmity grid for HP management. Never thought about that.

What dark weapon are you referring?
Diablo Bow only give HP skill until at lv 120. So it is not something you need.

You don't really need to limit break Diablo. The improvement is minimal.

It is better to use your energy to solo other normal and hard magna raid.

Oh yeah, i totally forget to tell you this.

But focus first on Sakura event and get as many Sealing staff as possible.

That's totally high-end dark weapon.

There is 6 days left, so should be possible to get 4 of them for MLB

Thanks! I've been rushing the story in the evenings and grinding during the day on breaks at work etc. I'll focus my grinding efforts on Sakura event for now then. I can't comfortably/easily beat that last stage quite yet in the event, but I did manage to clear it. Hopefully I can farm the necessary materials from the coffin fight in the remaining time left.

*Edit* - What do you guys feel are the best uses of stamina for a new player while it's still coming in pretty quickly? There are so many things to grind, I'm not sure what to concentrate on. After I finish the story, and after this Sakura event ends, what should be my priority as a dark based team?

I guess keep grinding the all the Omegas to get pendants to buy fists?

I get the impression co-op is important but I've still never done it because I don't have the time. lol

Now that Co-op is soloable, I've been doing my daily missions each day. It's the most consistent source of blue Sky Crystals!

Farm hard mode raids to get Omega Anima, SR fodder weapons, and omega weapon uncap items.

Host Omega raids to get SSR weapons to build your grids (and fodder to skill up your weapons).

Farm events (collabs, story events, etc.; whatever the banner event is). How much you "should" farm will depend on what the event offers and how useful it will be for your current grids. As a new player, event offerings will generally be extremely helpful.

Daily coop. Do the 3 daily coop missions every day for coop store points and the daily Blue Sky Crystal.

That's pretty much the basline for getting started on daily AP spending.

Co-op missions should only take you at most 10 minutes a day.

Additionally the co-op change got rid of the dark and light enemies, and some of the more annoying enemies too so it is even easier now.

6 mans (Makky & Apollo) are the most consistent way for BSCs, Grand Order too.

So I finally got into raiding and co-op yesterday. I don't know why I was hesitant to get into it at first, it's really easy. And holy crap the rewards opposed to playing the hard/very hard solo quests. I finally felt like I was ready to contribute because I unlocked Hawkeye and can solo stack 5 stacks of treasure boost when all of them land, so even if my damage is shit, it's benefiting everyone.

Got the Sakura costume, one staff, and a Kero so far. Going to try to work towards getting more staves tonight. How many do I need in total to max LB it? 4 or 5?

*Edit* - Also, finished my postboard quests and got that free SSR ticket, used it and got Light element Amira. From reading her kit, it sounds like she can have decent synergy with a dark team as long as she's transformed. Am I reading that right?

Also, I know Cerberus was in Rage of Bahamut anime, but is this Amira the same one from that show too? Is this game in the same "world?"

Yes, she is the one from Rage of Bahamut anime but she doesn't get benefice from dark weapons so I wouldn't put her in a dark team. She is good in hibrid Odin based teams but that is quite specific.

I think I made it past the tutorial. Rank 101. HL content here I come. Now I have to grind the rest of the mage creeds for class weapon and hit prestige pendant cap before the week changes.

I'm rank 150 and also join raids just to cast treasure hunter multiple times. Good luck on your drops

Sometimes collaboration are in the same world, from a different island

Most are people transported from their world to gbf world in some way and go home by the end of the event, and you owning the ssr is usually representative of the short time they were in gbf world

Actually, some do - a version of the famous 2-turn NM120 Vohu grid used it. As always, however, it's not too good outside those niche uses, given it doesn't have an attack up skill.

I don't have an android phone..I play on my iPhone and in the chrome browser app.

I bought codes from amazon.co.jp and used them in the chrome app :)

I bought a $9 prepaid android phone, and use that to buy coins. You can use your Google Account to buy coins, and get a great conversion rate (it's like $24 to buy a SupTix or a Scam Gacha). I then actually play the game on my iPhone

AFAIK:
The Chrome browser version uses MobaCoins.
The Android app version uses GranblueCoins.
They are not transferable between platforms, even on the same account.
Is there an IOS app, too? idk since I don't have any IOS devices, but if there is I suspect it would have a different, non-transferable currency, too.

What I and a lot of others do is use the android app to buy GC through the Google playstore, but really only use the app for that, and do our main playing just through Chrome.
