Could either give us an Email linked to your paypal or post a "donate now" button/ link somehow. Both Yield similar results. Looking into how to post a button now.

I think all it takes is your email address; whichever one is linked to your PayPal account.

I'd only give that out through PMs, though. =)

Soultron- good man. I'd be careful with the paypal thing, though--in the past, similar stuff on GAF has led to ugliness.

HJ- good luck! From the tone of your latest posts, it sounds like you're going to land on your feet.

Yeah the best way is probably just to make a list of everyone who wants to donate and send a mass PM of your email address. Probably don't want the billions of Gaf lurkers and the millions of Nigerian banker Gaf lurkers seeing your email.




On second thought if lurkers can donate, you may have enough to afford a small car very soon.
You may also get information on penis enlargement. Hit or miss.

Oh that's cool man. No worries about it. I have no way to get up there since my car broke down when I went on tour and I only have another week before my study starts so I can float around down here. Thanks though.

I know this has the potential to get ugly, but let me know whatever I can do to keep this as honest as possible with you guys. If you think posting the total donation amount and items purchased (with pictures of receipts) is the way to go, I will do that. Maybe HJ will tell me to cut the donations off if he feels like he's gotten too much help or something.

I think it's only fair that we do this since there are people who don't have GAF accounts and need help.

Okay, the donations are working, so it's a go. Just PM me if you want to donate to the HJ Fund.

Please let me know if you guys want updates on the balance of the account. Like I said, I'd like to keep this as honest as possible and not have people biting at my or HJ's ankles over this.

I'd like to see some pics of you and HJ enjoying yourselves. Just in the same sort of feel good way that's watching a fast motion montage of a house being built on TLC for some family.

At this point i don't think anyone is doubting your legitimacy. If this is the most elaborate hoax every orchestrated to get a new DSI, then by god you deserve to keep my $15.

Someone mentioned they'd donate once they had some money, but Id say if your broke don't stretch yourself. I'm betting by the generosity of Gaf they will end with quite the admirable sum.

Keep us updated! Coming Fall 2009, the feel good thread of the year!

Okay, I've sent out screen caps of the donation totals to everyone who has donated.

There will be many pictures of HJ kicking ass as soon as we start getting him some food/etc with the donations you guys have dropped.

While we're all in the giving mood, remember there are actual charities out there that need you guys too. The remainder of the money that isn't used will go to a charity that GAF decides upon!

As far as I know, yes. Someone donated from Australia and PP took a very small percentage of the donation to convert from AUD to CAD.

I'm not really doing much. I'm letting him use the couch we never do. I'm funnelling all the donations directly to him. If anything, I'm just a crude middle man who wouldn't want to be in this situation either.

Hopefully this thread can lift the spirits of those who are in similar situations then, like you said!

EDIT: I'll try to get back to you guys in a bit, but I really need to start/get back to studying for my exam tomorrow. Less than 10 hours until game time... :[
