Well that's what happens when any popular website decides not to censor its users unless laws have been broken.
I'm all for Reddit not censoring things, I'm just saying some of those things are creepy.

I would guess that some of these were shots taken by friends/family and repurposed when found to have creep-potential.That gym one is odd, surely someone would have noticed, especially her, since he'd literally have to be standing there behind her and carefully aiming the shot to get it that clear. At least the other ones are somewhat blurred and from a distance, but that one is REALLY close.
It's disgusting tbh, especially because there's no real need. Just stare if you must, why the photography? The word creepy cannot be overstated enough.
The first time I ever really touched a butt was the day after 9/11. I had a Persian girlfriend. (We were 13 so that meant we talked on the phone lots) anyway on 9/11 her mom wouldn't let her go out after school because she was afraid someone would like do a hate crime all up on her. So I talked to her on the phone wile I had people over to watch CNN (via MTV of coruse) the. The next day I walked her home and her two girlfriends were walking like two paces behind us and they said "grab her butt!" I got a palm full of that booty. A palm full. She was flexing. Nothing but booty.
I think that girl is like a diplomat or someone with a blackberry now.
Due to the popularity of that news story they're all easily findable on imgur. ;p Imgur has even crashed a few times today, might be unrelated but that's a first for me.You seem awfully invested in this, and you've posted a large number of these pictures that were taken without the women's consent.
Is there something you want to tell us, Sentry?
How else are you supposed to get a sense of how violating they are. :lolThat gym one is odd, surely someone would have noticed, especially her, since he'd literally have to be standing there behind her and carefully aiming the shot to get it that clear. Just enjoy the ride. I wonder if she was a hippo too.I...uh...what?
Depending on what state you live in, you might be a sex offender. The first time I ever really touched a butt was the day after 9/11. I had a Persian girlfriend. Complains about creeper shots
Posts lots of creeper shots.
I've heard the internet can be creepy, but Reddit is weird in that a decent portion of it seems relatively innocent yet there's a big chunk of it that's very creepy. I guess it's like the rest of the internet.
Isn't Sentry the guy who collects all the pictures from the "new pictures of yourself" thread?
Wait whatDepending on what state you live in, you might be a sex offender.

Do you still count as a creep if you just look but don't take pictures?
I wouldn't mind them shutting the whole thing down. This isn't a bait thing where reddit can find out people posting pics of minors. Most of these guys do it just to post them on reddit and gain attention/notoriety. A title of one thread was something like 'the best boob shot in my collection yet!'. They do this as a hobby and post it, it's not just a bunch of random guys who one-off post. It's a community. So if you shut it down, i'm not sure if most of them would even continue doing it at all. In that respect, it's sort of encouraged and bred. I saw one thread titled something like 'my first creepshot!'. They want to get famous in their community off of this shit.I'm all for Reddit not censoring things, I'm just saying some of those things are creepy.
See my point above, it's encouraged internally I think. Do a massive amount of dudes really jack off to this when there's porn? I kind of doubt it. Like I said above, it seems to be a sort of sport. As to why the photography - really? You don't think any guy jerks off to that hot girl they saw earlier in the day? The hot girl in the yoga pants that they describe to their friends with such clarity? With the evolution of high resolution cameras in phones, it just makes it easier for the guy to capture what used to be a fleeting memory.
Women wear tight pants so good looking men will notice their butts.
But ugly men noticing and men in general taking pictures of that is rude I guess.
Do women in general find you attractive? Then no.
I'm not sure what to make of these posts.

Then let me spell it out for you.
In my experience, women tend to be OK with getting attention for their looks if the man giving the attention is someone they could find attractive.
If on the other hand, the man is unattractive to them they find the attention uncomfortable and inappropriate.

Yeah you can stop talking for me thanks.
Then isn't it kind of silly to bring all that other stuff up in a thread about taking such pictures? Then let me spell it out for you.

And to make clear, I don't think snapping pictures counts as 'attention'. I am sure getting your picture taking without consent would be undesired by most no matter who snaps them.
I am not talking about you. The world does not revolve around you.
And get off your high horse. You have no reservations talking about men yourself. You are not some victim here on GAF.

That depends entirely on whether or not you're covered in soap.I hope some hot chicks has taken photos of me on the beach and sometimes looks at them to get going.
It always seems to find a way to come back and bite me in the ass. :lolHe stockpiled the real pic avatars =p.
If we as a society put a ban on creepshots can we also put a ban on "herp look at the fat person at the store" pictures too? That shit is humiliating and I have no idea why anyone thinks that's okay.
You shouldn't be taking pictures of anyone without their consent. Yes, public place and all that jazz but in most cases it's exploitative, creepy, and just plain wrong.

Do you really fucking think that when some guy is being a creep the first thing in a woman's mind is "well he's attractive?" The last time I ran into such behavior I was scared to fucking death. Stop with this "attractive guys can be creeps" bullshit. It's fucking insulting to anyone who's been stalked or generally scared shitless.
Due to the popularity of that news story they're all easily findable on imgur. ;p Imgur has even crashed a few times today, might be unrelated but that's a first for me.
In all seriousness, it's really, really just creepy to me. Can you imagine a dude walking behind you taking shots of your ass? Here's one of the 'top creepshots of all time;
Titled 'in line at the bakery'. She's not on a fucking beach or wearing tights while working out, she's just in line at a bakery! I don't know, it's just surprising that this is completely allowed, I guess. fucking weird.
How else are you supposed to get a sense of how violating they are. :lol
Stop telling me what to think and say, thanks.

You are one poster among thousands here. You are not the source of wisdom on the relation between men and women that you clearly think you are - in every single thread on the subject.
Stop generalizing my fucking gender every chance you god damn get.
I'm not sure if you noticed, but you're the one who was making assumptions about the preconceptions of all women. I would say an actual woman might be slightly more acquainted with the matter than you.I am not talking about you. The world does not revolve around you.

Stop playing the victim here on GAF. In a forum setting you cannot expect everyone to agree with you.
Public humiliation has been part of almost every culture in the world at some point. Humans in society seem to eventually resort to it at some point. It shouldn't surprise you that the internet and anonymity brought it back out.
I'm not sure if you noticed, but you're the one who was making assumptions about the preconceptions of all women. I would say an actual woman might be slightly more acquainted with the matter than you.
Linking it to paparazzi culture seems like a chicken-or-egg question to me, but overall all these things are quite disgusting - they probably shouldn't be illegal, but we should speak up against it whenever we see it.The answer involves a familiar combination of desire and humiliation. There is an interest in seeing not just any breasts, but all breasts, a sense that female bodies are public property, fair game to be claimed, admired and mocked.

A girl in her second year at secondary school whom the researchers spoke to reported that the demand "Can I have a picture of your tits?" occurred daily. If boys managed to get these photos, they immediately became a form of currency for them, and potential humiliation for the girls. Male interviewees spoke about posting these pictures to "exposure sites" on Facebook, profiles set up especially for this purpose.
Well, it's awful and hopefully with attention on creepshots right now someone will add that all images taken in an exploitative nature should be seriously frowned upon within online communities and possibly even legally restricted. Sites like peopleofwalmart shouldn't exist because they are gross.
You guys remember that runner or hurdler who had did a warm-up dance? I can't recall her name but I do remember how quick people were to find other media of her and make ass gifs and sexualize her non-sexual gestures. It's so sick it makes my skin crawl and we need to move past it.
I'm not sure if you noticed, but you're the one who was making assumptions about the preconceptions of all women. I would say an actual woman might be slightly more acquainted with the matter than you.
Doesn't matter if it's revealing, someone standing right next to you is secretly taking pics of you with sexual intent. It's not like they're saying 'oh look she has the new iPhone before anyone else!'..Seriously ... it's creepy ok, to think a guy felt to need to take this photo. But come on now now. It's not like it's revealing anything.
Hmm, interesting points but I doubt there's a silver bullet to explain away any type of fetish. Which is exactly what this is.I had no idea creepshots were a real thing until a week ago when I was linked to this Guardian article which tries to link it to paparazzi culture and the overall larger scene of revenge porn.

Would you be cool with someone doing that to your gf, sister, etc? It's violating whether or not your fully clothed tbh, the proximity and being unaware of it all make are what seal it.
well from my experience with hot ladies, they dont like to get photographed by a stranger no matter what he looks like Dennis.
It´s creepy and if the guy is hot or not, it is still creepy as fuck.
I was out walking with my girlfriend and some random dude decided to photograph her ass.... I was right there man, and I saw it and told him to delete it or I would kill him.
He decided to delete it and that was that.
My girlfriend was freaked out by the dude.
and I was shocked that someone would do that when their boyfriend was right there seeing the entire thing, some people are just fucking crazy.
women these days have so much pressure on them and they are scared by just walking home at night, they dont need shit like this as well.
