BTW, Nintendo had one of those 3DS walls at Shibuya station. It seems that they won't just be in shops.

Thanks for pulling the charts. That's pretty much what I remembered. I didn't expect Last Story to debut at #1, but this is definitely a great result for Mistwalker. It also means the game has a serious chance of being the best selling Mistwalker game of all time, since it just needs to sell over 200k.

Did the Gooch give any indication as to what he feels would be a success? He seemed quite anxious about the sales prior to its release.

Why don't you ask him on Twitter?

While initially I thought Wii is not the best choice for Last Story, it IS a better choice than 360 (considering higher budget requirements for developing on 360), and is a cheaper choice than going on PS3.

None of those things matter if Nintendo was the only publisher willing to fund the development of the game. Hence Wii is the only possible platform for it. Just like how no one wanted to fund the development of Blue Dragon for PS2, so Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey could only be 360 titles, since MS agreed to fund them.

I really hope you're right. Then, maybe there is chance to see the game outside Japan.

And there's also the fact that Nintendo collaborated and is publishing the game :/

Did he never publically say anything about it?

Sakaguchi doesn't like talking about sales, probably because he hasn't made anything which really sold for over a decade now. :p

Poor bloke. Hope he isn't still traumatised by a certain 2001 film.

SCEJ is so useless. There's huge demand for PSP, yet they can't get anything in. They'll likely lose that demand once the 3DS launches.

How bad are these PSP shortages? I mean is it everywhere?
