You can disagree all you want, but you're obviously not a flight simulation enthusiast, or you'd know the drawbacks, and there are plenty.
You can physically interact with the buttons, but it's not enough to use all the features of the sim. How do we know? You don't know. I do. I reviewed the full release version of the game and played the alpha and beta since day one of their availability.
Perfectly viable support exists in DCS and other sims, and it's still not the preferred way because it's much less comfortable for extended use, and with flight simulation, extended use is the name of the game. This ain't a theme park ride.
Man you have a terrible attitude.. Some old-schoolers will never be satisfied with VR no matter how good it gets, that's fine. But it shouldn't be a plaque for anything. I also grew up with flight simulators, its on its way to be my favourite hobby for four decades, I'm probably not that far from 10K hours in it either. I recently did 5 hours straight in VR in DCS without taking the headset off. I had one hell of a time despite its flaws, and IMO a much better sense of flying than a monitor will ever give. And aside from feeling warm around the ears, I didn't feel much strain or struggle. When the tech is now on its way to mature I doubt many will be left to resist.
