THERE IS A MDT RISK OF SVR TSTMS FROM EXTREME ERN KS...ERN
OK...MUCH OF MO...AR...EXTREME NERN TX...WRN TN AND NWRN MS...

A PORTION OF THE LOWER MS VALLEY MAY NEED TO BE INCLUDED IN A HIGH RISK IN LATER UPDATES.

...THERE IS A SLGT RISK OF SVR TSTMS OVER ERN PORTIONS OF THE CNTRL
AND SRN PLAINS THROUGH MUCH OF THE LOWER-MID MS VALLEY AND WRN TN VALLEY..."

SUMMARY...
NUMEROUS SEVERE STORMS WITH POTENTIAL FOR STRONG TORNADOES...VERY LARGE HAIL AND DAMAGING WIND ARE LIKELY ACROSS MUCH OF THE MISSISSIPPI RIVER VALLEY...WITH THE GREATEST THREAT FROM THE ARK-LA-TEX INTO ARKANSAS...WESTERN TENNESSEE AND WESTERN AND CENTRAL MISSOURI AND ERN KS. A SECONDARY THREAT AREA WILL BE FROM EASTERN NEBRASKA INTO IOWA...AND STORMS DEVELOPING IN THIS REGION DURING THE DAY WILL ALSO LIKELY PRODUCE LARGE HAIL AND SEVERAL TORNADOES.

..NEB AND IA...
VEERING LOW-LEVEL WINDS WITH LARGE 0-2 KM HODOGRAPHS AND
50 KT EFFECTIVE SHEAR WILL SUPPORT SUPERCELLS WITH TORNADOES AND
LARGE HAIL AS ACTIVITY DEVELOPS NWD. MODERATE RISK MIGHT BE EXPANDED FARTHER NW TO INCLUDE A PORTION OF THIS AREA ON NEXT UPDATE.

Nebraska GAF checking in.

As long as it stays cool, and the heat front doesn't get closer, we should just get storms, and avoid the tornadoes.

There is only a cold front. I am in Papillion and it is theoretically warm enough right now if a cold front rushes in.

Bumping because things are firing off along the Kansas-Missouri state line right now. Already saw they had one tornado live on TV.

Stay safe, Midwest-GAF.

Big rain-wrapped tornado went through Yazoo City in MS just a while ago, but early reports point out that there was little damage. There's a large wedge tornado on the ground in Tupelo and the SPC has taken the entire area into High Risk + PDS Tornado Watch.

Shit escalated quickly today. It's going to roll into Alabama here in the evening hours. There are like 12 counties in warnings in MS right now.

Stay safe people.

How often in your/your parents lifetimes did you all have to deal with a hood of large, violent, long tracked tornadoes?

This will be an interesting day for our Little rock and Shreveport terminals.

Yup, already have drivers complaing about having to run through the storms to make their deliveries.

One guy flat out refused his load when he found out what the weather was going to be. I think a lot of truckers are sick and tired of the cruddy weather.
