This feature-length, nation-wide documentary from director Kevin J. James focuses on local video game stores and the final days of physical media and the rise of digital distribution.

The doc features interviews with over a dozen game store owners across the US & Canada, Dave Hagewood (CEO of Psyonix; Creator of Rocket League), Andrea Rene (What's Good Games), Frank Cifaldi (The Video Game History Foundation), Greg Miller (Kinda Funny), James Rolfe (Angry Video Game Nerd, Cinemassacre), Pat Contri (Author, Pat the NES Punk), Kelsey Lewin, Blake J. Harris (Author, "Console Wars") and David Gibson (Preservationist, The Library of Congress).

The film is available for purchase on Amazon.

Final days of physical media? That sounds a bit dramatic. If it does come to that I'll stick to the stuff I indeed physically have.

And I agree with the sentiment made in the trailer: video games is so much more than just buying and playing them. Video game stores are important, the trips you make to them have so much more meaning when you pick up a game you've been looking forward to. Not to mention the social aspect; starting conversations about games, or whatever it might be.
