Obsession Teaser Trailer (2026)

I don't understand why people need everything spoonfed these days. It's very easy to make up imaginative reasons as to why things are certain ways with the OWW. But some get stuck on "plotholes" that they can't think their way around and lose all sense of immersion.

agreed - gone are the days where movies left a lot unsaid - classics like Rosemary's Baby are a great example - you are told just enough to be intrigued who the cult is and what their goals are but they never explicitly explain things. Same with some modern movies like Hereditary for example.

Guys, quit suggesting changes to Obsession that we've seen a million times before. "Ian's wish also goes wrong" "The store Bear bought the One Wish Willow at disappears when he goes back".

Part of the reason the movie did so well is it doesn't do the obvious stuff. It's subversive but because it wants to be entertaining--not just for the sake of it.

Although the hospital turning Nikki away when she had a massive headwound makes no sense.

Just saw it. After finishing the movie I feel I just saw a 10/10 movie and I can't recall which movie I last gave 10/10 to. It was just perfect in everything. Totally lived upto the massive hype. Deserves every success its got.

Yeah, I enjoyed it quite a bit. Nikki's actress was really great, photography was nice, some deaths were awesome.

But I don't think it's some innovative concept like Backrooms is, for example (haven't watched it yet)

It's ok, very fun movie. Crazy to think that it has grossed more than $400M tho.

She did a very nice job. I felt her acting pulling on my heart strings.
I want to know where that came from.
director got the best girl without having to meet some checklist handed to him by studio execs and she has an expressive face not paralyzed by botox. Match made in heaven!

She's not bad in Trap House, the only other thing I think I've seen her in. Shes got good on camera charisma and a very natural acting style.

Her weeping really got to me. It reminded of pain I've felt and witnessed in person.
It was almost haunting.
