I think that Mass Effect will see a good hold over last months numbers due to word of mouth - I hope so anyway!

What about UT3 on PS3?

I'm trying to not include new releases just because they're new. We saw what UT3 did on PC, so I'm not expecting much out of it on the PS3. Same with NiGHTS. While it's not supposed to be a "Top # games of the month" prediction, expected sales do come into play somewhere along the line along with interesting comparisons (e.g. PS3 The Orange Box first month compared to 360 The Orange Box first month.)

It seems somewhat strange to me that we are predicting for just Rock Bad on the PS2, when GH3 was such a huge game in November.

Rock Band for the PS2 is a new release, so we can compare its first month sales to the PS3/360 versions last month. I originally had planned to have PS2 Guitar Hero III in, but it was suggested that Uncharted would probably be a more meaningful game to predict for.
