Playtonic Sets Sights on Future as Tencent Acquires Minority Stake | Playtonic Games


Tencent sure is buying into a lot...But I would like to see Playtonic get the funding to survive and take a second spin at Yooka Laylee as a 3D platformer. I know the first one wasn't universally loved, but if it's the closest to Banjo we get I'd like to see them keep going and getting better each time.

Buying a minority stake is not "taking over" anything. They have no say in anything Playtonic does, same w/ Epic.. and Activision and Ubisoft (all companies they have a minority stake in.)
