No one shall be brought before our LORD David Bowie without the true and secret knowledge of the Photoshop. For in that time, so shall He appear.
Oh cool, this is the guy who makes all those videos about airplane engineering and stuff. I’ll definitely check this out later tomorrow.

Not really insane, but the history of the system‘s making is worthy of a movie.
In-house jealousy, Nintendo backing out of contracts that seemed already in the pocket, big boss Yamauchi getting mad at his old protégé when he tried the prototype and couldn’t see shit, Yokoi being on the brink of breakdown but still never letting the project go, the GB finally launching and trumping the competition while being the absolute underdog. All of this intertwined with the mind-boggling story of the rights to Tetris, the undisputed cornerstone of the system’s success. That little grey brick has possibly the most interesting background of any gaming system ever made.

It is also a industrial design triumph. And easily on the same level as Dieter Rams' work he did at Braun.

Just a perfect balance of graphics, battery life, price, heat, playability and controls. The Gamegear and Lynx never stood a chance.

A fun system to play on and then you have that Zelda game come out :messenger_open_mouth:

By contrast the Gamegear’s big release was an expensive converter to let you watch 30 mins TV on it and Atari sold a brick to upgrade the Lynx to a doorstop.
