Is this the "last episode" one? Or was that last night. I know the whole last episode was a farce, but my question still stands.

Nah there was no real date. If you listen carefully to the TV-ads it's says "See the last episode of ATHF, every sunday night at midnight"

I could've sworn they said "midnight on august 15th."

Well midnight on the 15th technically would've been last night so that's why I was kinda confused.
