Amazon's path to continuous growth was reach first, and then subscriptions. Game platforms need to be the same way.

Before a subscription model, Playstation should get market relevance in Africa and South Asia. Then throw on little subscriptions like PS+ Essential, or perhaps a model where there is a 10% across the board discount for microtransactions. This is essentially how Amazon works - loss leading discounts on things you want (shipping), incidental benefits (streaming), and a compulsion to constantly engage the ecosystem.

Yeah this dev and their games deserve a way bigger audience. With Sony/SIE backing & investing in them, I could see them finally get it, and maybe up the presentation factor while staying true to their roots the way Housemarque did with Returnal.

As someone who lives in (South) Africa...as cool as it would be, our entertainment and imagination here is kind of bland, while yes there's some fun historic events and myths to pull from.

We tend to not really do much more story wise then, poor person who becomes a gang member/soldier...

That's like 90% of the stories that get told here in plays/movies/art
