So is this like Driver or Burnout Paradise?
The insane thing for the time was that game and it's driving physics was basically a test bed for DRIV3R (the 3rd DRIVER game) that's kind of like if Rockstar took it's Midnight Club series as a demo for GTA games, imagine DRIVER coming back due to this, Ubisoft owns the IP but it could be done, if somehow SAMSON got pitched then it's proof a market for these games exist no?

Stunt Driver was (iirc) based on the Driver Physics model which was more realistic and weighty/physics based, and more "hitting your marks" based

Stuntman had more of an arcade feel where you had to complete more action orientated moves while avoiding crazy things like explosions and Twisters.

It was really neat conceptually but the scoring system was pretty harsh and load times on retries could sap your will to live pretty quickly. That's my memory of it anyway.

Trailer:
- Fast & Furious scenario featuring Paul Walker's custom 1994 Toyota Supra (or a Supra look-a-like?) with the real graphic designs.
- Miami Vice featuring Sonny Crockett's 1986 Ferrari Testarossa...(Not sure if it is just a non-licensed Testarossa in the game or the real licensed car model?).. That is the real Miami Vice licensed theme song.
- 1982 Pontiac Firebird Trans-Am 'KITT' (Knight Industries Two Thousand) from Night Rider. Complete with actual licensed theme song. They got the license from Universal Television and NBC for both Night Rider and Miami Vice)
- Also 1982 KITT transforms into later 2008 Ford Mustang KITT that was voiced by Val Kilmer? Looks like it did for a brief second?. probably wrong.
- The tanker truck is the Dreadnought from the Death Race 2008 remake. Yeah, I remember seeing this advertised, but I have never watch it...
- "The Frankenstein" (2006 Ford Mustang GT) from Death Race 2008... Oddly, never saw the movie, despite seeing the advertisements for it.
- The Back to the Future DMC-12 1981-1983 Delorean, because of course Amblin will pimp it out. Universal also has the rights.

Trailer:
- Fast and the Furious reference featuring Paul Walker's Supra with the real graphic designs.
- Miami Vice featuring Crockette's faux Ferrari Testarossa (Body kit on a Dodge Dayona frame?)
- 1983 Trans-Am KITT from Night Rider
- I will guess the tanker truck is the original Road Warrior, but looks a little off.
- The Back to the Future Delorean because of course Amblin will pimp it out. Actual licensed music means it is official.
Yep, I've just upgraded the OP with more informations from Steam !

I'm so in. I have yet to complete the first game. I started playing my original save file during covid, I believe I'm two stunt shoots away from completing it.

They put Kit, a1980s era Ferrari/Corvette, the Mad Max Roadster and a friggin' BTTF style DeLorean in a racing game and tell every guy over 33, "I Dare you to NOT Buy/Play this game"

😂 Well played Devs...well played

Not really, it's an old IP where you literally play as a stuntman, who has to perform certain things for the director:

It was pretty fun, quite a (nice) surprise to see a new entry!

I wish this would come out again, the original had a BRUTAL difficulty that we would be appreciated these days.

This was the big surprise of the show. Looks pretty awesome!

I kinda hope it's not only recreating famous scenes from movies. I'd love some crazy totally original shit, too.

I'm a sucker for KITT so this is a buy.

The intro to KITT on the trailer gave me chills. I didn't even want to watch the rest it was skip back on that a few times. Then the same for the DeLorean. But KITT's was so badass. Love it!

I had never heard of this series before, but it's a legitimately cool cocept.

Definitely one of the better reveals in an otherwise pretty dull and safe State of Play.

I hope too see Herbie and DEath proof car.

I think the only collaborator for this project is Universal Studios.

Universal Television/ NBC produced Knight Rider and Miami Vice. But they also produced movies like 2008's Death Race, Fast & Furious and Back to The Future, apparently also the 1974 cult film: Earthquake (does it have some good vehicle stunts?).

Death Race 2008 is a good source for Mad Max inspired vehicle stunts:

Here's hoping for a Blues Brothers mall chase, The T-Rex chase in Jurassic Park, Dante's Peak stunts, Terminator 2: Judgement Day vehicle stunts, Magnum PI, The Rockford Files, A literal: 'The Falls Guys' tie in. they still have a lot of material under Universal when it comes to car chases. Universal Television also worked with Sony on the latest Twisted Metal TV series Tie in?

If they could either get Warner Bros. or Fox (News Network for car chases, or 20th Century Studio) involved.

Warner Bros. Studios owns the Hard Drivin' series and turn it into a new stunt-driver simulation with Warner Bros. movies stunts.

I remember the original. It looked more fun that it actually was. They didn't give you freedom to mess around. You had to drive very specifically and it was a lot of trial and error. If they give you more leeway for this one, I could see the appeal. Maybe they will add more of a city to explore and some story worth getting into. I preferred Driver over the original Stuntman.

I think it's just not your cup of tea. For others it was a fun challenge. It's not really about freedom or exploration.
