Both games are being developed by Akella(Sea Dogs,Pirates of Carribean,Age of Sails and some others)

Captain Blood is direct sequel to Sea Dogs 2/Pirates of Carribean(PC/XB) and coming for PC/XB in Q4 2004,publisher unknown but Bethesda seems likely,the game seems to play in time of the begining tensions that will lead to Civil War between US and British

Swashbucklers is a spin off and its much more arcadey and less realistic,including battles hand to hand battles and stuff,coming for PC/PS2 in Q1 2005.

They are also still working on "GTA Bikers" Axle Rage for PC/PS2 also set for Spring 2005.

That will remain the ONLY Captain Blood in my eyes, and that died with the Amiga. That game was one of the oddest and most original things to ever call itself a computer game.

Loved it.

I'm off to find the song from Jean-Michel Jarre's Zoolook that the game had a huge sample of. Think it was called Ethnicolour ... ?
