TSMC set to move to 65nm process by Dec.

This is great for MS, aswell Sony and Nintendo. MS gets immediate cost reduction early in the life of the Xbox360. Other fabs shouldn't be to far behind, Nintendo Revolution just may be on par with a small form factor console. Sony no doubt will be looking to reduce cost of production for the Cell Processor, you never know they may add more SPE's.

Nintendo, given their late timing, will probably be the only one to benefit from this right off the bat. And seeing how they've stated that the Revolution will be very likely be smaller than the prototype case they showed off at E3, it seems like they're banking on it. MS and Sony will just get nice revisions for their late year-one or early year-two systems.

Yeah, but MS will waste no time taking advantage of the new process. The sooner the better.
 
My Guess, MS uses this in first batch of Xbox 360's, costing them money for the first 6 months of sales, but will be worth 10x that much in the long run for revenues.
