UFC LHW Champ, and “habitual like stepper,” Jon Jones gets arrested....again.

(edit: meant to say “habitual line stepper.” Gotta stop posting from my phone)

You may remember Jones as the guy who was previously suspended over what he claimed were tainted “gas station dick pills,” telling Joe Rogan he uses them because “I have a huge dick.”

You may also remember him as the guy who was high as fuck and hit and run on a pregnant woman who was stopped at an intersection red light. After crashing into the woman’s car, Jones booked it out of there but returned to retrieve his drugs, or, “valuables.”

You may also know him as the greatest MMA fighter of all time.

This is how Jon Jones self-quarantines:

According to the criminal complaint, an Albuquerque PD officer responded to the sound of a single gunshot around 12:58 a.m. Thursday morning. The complaint stated that the officer saw a black Jeep with a man inside the vehicle in the driver's seat -- identified as Jones -- and another person outside the vehicle by the passenger-side door.

The officer wrote that he saw an open bottle of alcohol behind the passenger seat and said that Jones said he did not know where the gunshot sound came from. Another officer was called, and after completion of a DWI investigation, Jones was placed under arrest, per the complaint.

The Jeep was towed from the scene. Upon a search, a handgun was found underneath the driver's seat, along with a spent round outside the driver-side door. The complaint stated that the round matched the caliber of the gun.

Albuquerque PD director of communications Gilbert Gallegos said in a statement that Jones' gun would be tested to see if it was used in any crimes.

Can’t wait to see Dana go full red face when he gets asked about this

I want Jones to prevail in his life, but who knows about the demons he has. But he's not the greatest mma fighter.

Fedor in his prime was the greatest. Not old Fedor. Jones only fought 1 guy at his ridiculous reach advantage and nearly lost. Not saying Jones isn't great, but no man has took on bigger, longer fighters and dominated like prime Fedor. Jones even backed down from a heavyweight Stipe fight possibility. "Hes just too big." Jones said. Literally a 30lbs disparity? Jones could easily come in bigger, he just doesn't want that challenge. Hes comfortable because he knows at 205lbs weight division, the likelihood of a guy with his reach is near impossible to find. He's in a perfect spot to absolutely dominate with an average of 7 inch reach advantage. That's massive.

I disagree. Jones is the GOAT imo

Reach can be countered. There was this dude named Mike Tyson, he was good at that.

Of course. But the fact that we can only come up with a handful of specialist that dealt with extreme reach throughout history just shows how advantageous it is. Tyson was also a genetic freak of nature on top of incredible skill.

Wouldn’t necessarily agree with that. If you look at champion fighters in general reach isn’t that much of a factor. It’s an advantage in a striking match from the outside.

I think he's the greatest by a pretty large margin actually. He beat the, at the time, GOAT LHW 3 years into his career. That's fucking insane. He rose through LHW at a time when there was considerably more depth in the division and was fucking destroying people. If you go down the list of guys he's beat, it's the strongest resume next to GSP. I don't think Anderson or Fedor are in that conversation anymore.

Not trying to sound like an asshole when I say this, but I've watched more MMA than probably most of you in here. I can say without question Jon Jones is the best and most talented fighter I've ever seen. Hands down.

I've been watching and training since the mid 90s. Doesnt make me right though even if I'd trained 100 years. It's just an opinion. I just see Jones in a crazy good physical position with his insane length. Doesnt mean hes not one of the greatest though

This dude is all sorts of fucked up. Hate to see it, especially considering he's the best to ever do it, in my opinion.

Cormier is right though, these aren't mistakes. This is just who he is.
Mike Tyson is the same way. It's just how these guys are. The kind of traits which make you amazing at beating the shit out of people also make you uniquely unsuited to following the rules of a society.
