You may have noticed some changes to GameTap.com today, and I'm happy to walk you through the changes and answer any questions you may have!
The biggest change is our new Daily Events section. Our Daily Events forum has been extremely popular over the last few months, so we have expanded it into its own section of the website! Check out the Daily Events Calendar, it's a lot of fun to play with:
You can view information on each event, get email alerts, post them to social networking sites like Myspace and Facebook, add them to your Google, Outlook, iCal and Yahoo calendars, and lots more super high tech Internet 2.0 stuff!
Our Games section is all-new too, and makes finding games easier than ever:
All of our games are divided into six easy sections: Free Online is a list of games to play free in your web browser, Free can be played by anyone through the GameTap Player, Premium are the games exclusive to our paid subscribers, Originals include our original episodic series Sam & Max and American McGee's Grimm, Indies showcases our awesome GameTap Indies games, and Retail is our selection of games that you can purchase and keep, no subscription required.
There are other little touches everywhere too, we've changed just about every page on the site. We have also, as you have probably noticed, eliminated the "Read" and "Watch" sections of the website, due to a lack of new content. Unfortunately this means that the old content is no longer accessible, at least for the time being.
