i am alive worth getting? the concept sounds interesting but I remember the demo was kind of poop, wondering if the full game would be better with some interesting sections.

The best part about this Evolve thing is knowing that this time next year, people will be complaining when the GotY version is $10 but the DLC is only 50% off.

It really just depends on the game - it seems like the average is about 1 hour and 15 minutes. Some of the games I idled overnight last night took less than an hour.

At the time or writing the project is two hours away from its Kickstarter deadline with just $98,194 of its $250,000 goal pledged. Cordes said while his studio, Senscape, was not "at risk" the company was "disbanding part of our team as we focus solely on completing Asylum." H. P. Lovecraft: The Case of Charles Dexter Ward is now on hold as a project.

"It's impossible not to notice a sense of apathy towards Kickstarter these days. Previously I would tweet about an adventure needing backers, and experience an outpouring of support with retweets, favourites, and such. Today I say 'Kickstarter' and not even crickets reply," he said in an extensive update on the game's Kickstarter page.

"I didn't want to believe it, because I love the idea of crowdfunding, but there's no way around this: we are experiencing its decline. It would be a whole different matter if our campaign were an isolated case of plain bad luck, but it's not - from small teams with modest goals to high-profile developers with solid track records, we're seeing a very grim scenario where too many campaigns are failing for no other reason than lack of interest," he explained.

"October in particular has been a dreadful month for Kickstarter, perhaps the worst I've seen, and it's supposed to be the second month of the Kickstarter year that attracts most pledges."

Weird. I tried to buy Evolve, but it's telling me I already own it. I've been in the beta since it began, but I haven't actually bought the game yet.

Looks like I won't be taking advantage of the error.

It's a bug. I had the Alpha, so when I went to redeem the full game it told me that I owned "parts" of Evolve, or something.

They still show up as two separate listings in my account details (Evolve Alpha and Evolve) so even though it says it's in your library, it really isn't. The Evolve Alpha in your account details will most likely be removed/deactivated later.

Try buying it as a gift in your inventory and activating it that way.

You can probably buy it anyway, try adding it to cart, happened to me some times with games that have special editions or betas.

Yeah I knew there was all this other extraneous shit souring the prospects of this project, but yeah, Kickstarter is dead. Mmmhmm, yup.

Fuck the halloween sale. Not because it's bad or anything but because I keep buying games and not even playing then. I still have to go through Super Meat Boy, Psychonauts, both Witchers, Fez, Deadly Premonition, , both Metros, and games like Fallout and Guacamelee that I am already in progress in. Damn you gaben, Im not going to threaten to murder you but damn you!

F.E.A.R, Painkiller, System Shock 2, and Vampire: The Masquerade shall be mine!
