Grisaia 50% off, holy smokes!

Just wanted to let people know the 18+ version is now available for download on Denpasoft's website. It unfortunately does not come with a Steam key, however, it is priced the same as the Steam version. No 50% discount tho. :p Not sure if there're any achievements in the Steam version but obviously if there are they won't be in this version.

Can you re-lewd the Steam version?

Unfortunately I've heard it's apparently impossible. They actually didn't remove the scenes, they just replaced them with non-lewd scenes from the Vita version. Also, I believe they censored references to drugs and some of the more lewd jokes. I can't remember exactly why it's impossible tho.

ModBot

Not a mod, just a bot.
Thanks to an anonymous benefactor, I am giving away a Steam key. To enter this giveaway, send a PM to ModBot with any subject line. In the body, copy and paste the entire line from the message below containing the game you want to enter for. Confused? Watch this GIF tutorial or ask for help.

ModBot Basics:
- This giveaway has a manual blocklist. The giver has identified members who abuse giveaways and restricted them from participating.
- Do not trade keys you win off-site to enrich yourself. Don't try to claim games you have no interest in collecting or playing. Don't claim games to give them to friends off-site.
- If the key is already taken you will not receive a reply. Replies may take a minute or two.

Rules for this Giveaway:
- This giveaway is a LIGHTNING raffle. The winners will be selected by random draw 15 minutes after the draw was created. Any games not claimed after that point will be given away first come first serve.

Gods Will Be Watching -- MB-CBD44BF5CE2C09D6 - Taken by LordCommanderNooooo. 8 entrants total.
I am totally not giving this away because I already owned it but thought I didn't and bought it in the build your own Devolver bundle. Yep. I'd have to be an idiot to do that.

About Us

Blackthorn Media is a team of award-winning veterans at the crossroads of Film, Videogame, Animation, and Entertainment Technology. We have a rich history leading some of the best visual entertainment in any medium.

We’re in this business because it’s what we love to do. Blackthorn is where we’ve come to build the future.

Michael Conelly
Creative Director

Michael has supervised the creation of characters that have grossed over two billion dollars at the world-wide box office. A prolific designer and author, he has published books of fiction, sold original designs for games now in production, written screenplays, and optioned work for feature film development. He has helped design software and workflows used in the production of academy award winning visual effects. And he has helped turn bleeding-edge technology into profitable enterprise for much of the last twenty years. His recent turn as Digital Effects Supervisor for Snow White and the Huntsman yielded an oscar nomination for the work.
Learning to program at age ten, Michael has been drawn his whole life to computers, animation, and storytelling. He studied philosophy and political theory at Bard College and the London School of Economics, while taking every art and programming class available. Michael founded Renaissance Technologies, a game company, at 24, quickly finding a publisher for his first effort. He joined the game division of Rhythm and Hues Studios shortly thereafter, and soon migrated into feature film work. His steady rise within the company would be marked by innovation, efficiency, and cameraderie.
His creative drive, and groundbreaking career in visual media are a unique asset to Blackthorn.

Will Telford
Head of Creative Technology

Will‘s career in CGI began with his specialization in creature development, supervising movies like The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe - which was nominated for an oscar in visual effects. But his expertise with digital media runs the gamut, from programming and scripting, to stereoscopic workflows, deformation heuristics, concepts of color space across multiple media, and balancing artists’ needs against exotic technology constraints. He‘s ushered dozens of visual-effects-rich feature films to completion, while simultaneously driving R&D on multiple technology projects. He’s a tool maker, and a ‘fixer,’ solving problems no one else can. He’s been entrusted with bringing to life some of the most valued properties of our time, including the Coca Cola Polar Bears, the Harry Potter franchise, Alvin and the Chipmunks, Garfield, and the Night at the Museum movies.

Keith Goldfarb
Software Artist

Keith Goldfarb was a co-founder of Rhythm and Hues Studios, the pioneering visual effects company honored with dozens of awards, including multiple Oscars, Baftas and Clios for outstanding visual effects and technical achievement. As the Chief Software Architect for the company, Keith directed R&D on multiple fronts, from core image and geometry libraries to workflows for managing massive production environments, all praised and imitated by the company’s competitors.
After 26 years at Rhythm, tectonic changes in the visual effects business marked Keith’s venture into the creation of original properties. At Blackthorn Media, Keith is now working alongside the talent he helped mentor. The scope of his experience and his history of industry-leading innovation bring a unique depth of value to the Blackthorn team.

Lyndon Barrois
Animation Director

Lyndon’s twenty year career in animation is marked by mastery in all corners of the field: His early work in stop motion animation won him accolades while still a student at CalArts. In later years he would help shape the spectacular visual effects of The Matrix series, and move on to the nuances of projects like Tree of Life. He directed a massive team of animators for Alvin and the Chipmunks, vaulting the franchise into a billion-dollar phenomenon. More recently he was recognized by the Visual Effects Society Awards with a nomination for his work on The Thing.
A native of New Orleans, Lyndon‘s career has come to span the globe, as he’s brought his impeccable eye and gift for direction to an industry needing vision and versatility. He’s directed episodic television; written and directed an award-winning, live action short, The Lift, and is partnering with a major visual effects studio to bring his latest short film - an innovative hybrid of stop-motion and CGI - to life.
Lyndon‘s creative drive, and deep background as an animator, author, and director, make him a superb match for Blackthorn’s blend of interactive, feature animation, and visual-effects-driven work.

morningbus

Serious Sam is a wicked gahbidge series for chowdaheads.
Devolver Digital Bundle. I can just hear morningbus crying over all the Serious Sam games that may be bought to pick up Shadow Warrior cheap.

It's like ordering something off Amazon and instead of those plastic bags filled with air it's plastic bags filled with farts.

And the bags themselves, in an impressive feat of engineering and at great cost, have been synthesized from actual shit.

Not A Hero: Global MegaLord Edition
The Not A Hero: Global MegaLord Edition comes with a digital artbook, exclusive behind the scenes documentary, and a collection of desktop background, sound and icons set found in the game's folder on your computer.

nothing really "got to have"

Thanks. Seems to be the same deal with the Special Edition of Titan Souls. Wasteful really.

Genuinely unsure on Titan Souls to start. The most helpful reviews for it on Steam are all negative, and the entire die like dark souls type of comments surrounding it aren't for me. I can only repeat a part so many times before I just exit game.

Ended up getting Ronin and Not A Hero. 6.59 with SSHD Second Encounter, Heavy Bullets, and Gods Will Be Watching. Oh, Humble.

I bought one. For who, that's something you'll have to figure out yourself and chide them. >>

I put up a Quick Look of Stasis early this morning. You can find it here:

STASIS feels like a AAA 90's computer game. The animation and visuals of the human models have a distinct 90's quality to them. It's not a bad thing at all, but for some reason the nostalgia center of my brain is going nuts while playing this game, even though it's brand new to me.

It also plays like early PnC adventure games. There is no hand-holding. There isn't a pop-up telling you what you need to do if you get lost. There are some modern twists like not having to switch your 'verb' as that is done automatically whilst also changing the icon to reflect the action, such as an eye-ball to see and having the text automatically appear. There is also PnC 'logic' which is kind-of whitewashed via the computer logs that you read, but still, some of the puzzles when thinking about it from a larger perspective don't make much sense. Why would a spaceship be fraught with so many bugs?

There are also some Myst-style sections/puzzles intertwined as well. Close-ups of panels that need to be operated. Nothing that is as hard as Myst-type puzzles, but some of the order-of-operations style puzzles that Myst seemed to have burned into my brain are present.

The atmosphere is executed very well. The isometric (Sidenote - I love isometric games) viewpoint is not only easy-on-the-eyes from a visual standpoint but facilitates the horror themes of the game. A fixed perspective with enough of an angle to foreshadow events is a great way to heighten suspense.

STASIS feels like a hidden gem from the past.

Recommended.

any impressions on Not a Hero?

I found the humor to be ham-fisted and unfunny. It was trying at something, though. Others seemed to like it.

I wished the game was less arcade-like and instead opted for segments of groups of levels with checkpoints, or just something big and Metroid-y, but this is not so much a detractor as it is a desire for a sequel.

The gameplay is fantastic in the way Hotline Miami's was fantastic. You can blast through with frantic dodges or you could take your time, all the while totally intuitive. Whatever floats your boat. The graphics are expressive and dynamic, distinctly stylish. The music is upbeat, as required, but ultimately forgettable.

It's really solid.

Lame move on the part of whoever is responsible. Broforce is a big part of why I was planning on picking up this bundle. I don't know enough about any of the other games I was thinking about getting to justify it now.

Spirited

Mine is pretty and pink
Got myself luftrausers, hatoful boyfriend, olli olli, dungeon hearts and cosmic DJ for a bit over 3€, damn that's good!

Same deal here. I would have snagged that and a few others to giveaway but since they removed Broforce I doubt I'll bother.
