30 minutes to download and install 28GB? Are you from the future???

How long does it take for an 100Mbps connection to download that, can't remember. I don't know if I get around to play it though.

(I could upgrade to 350Mbps connection for the same price, 20 euros a month, in december if I wanted to)

Yeah let's not call this a confirmation as none of these people seem to be the ones who tell Valve and there have been plenty of other so called confirmations at the end of the day. When the store page changes to reflect that take that as confirmation.

The Steam unlock timer has historically been very unreliable. Publishers set the page up months in advance, then forget to adjust the time from the default as their release date gets closer.

Looks like Konami is aware of the issue and adjusted the unlock time to 'coming soon' last I checked.

You take the cable with the internets coming out of it, and put it in the back of the PC were the internet hole is.

What??

Unfortunately, whoever coax'ed my house 30 some years ago did a real bad job. So I have no easy way to get an ethernet cable into my office from the router. I've thought about doing one of those Internet over Power thingers, but haven't looked into it to much.

I just try to download things at night and not delete games unless I'm for sure done with them.

I could probably do that, my internet is awesome :p

I could probably do that too if I was able to currently use wired connection.
Not that it matters anyway, the game unlocks at 7am here in Finland, so I'm not going to be able to play it until later that day anyway.

Now, if the game unlocked right now on the other hand, I'd probably carry my laptop next to the router and download it there, and then move it to my desktop.

Is Capcom capable of creating a costume for a female fighter that doesn't reveal 80% of their body? It's sort of pathetic.

Uh yes?
Makoto's alts. in SF4, Ibuki's alts. in SF4, Juri had a casual wear alt. too in SF4.
They can do it, but you know how Japan is like if you gotta a female character you're gonna push forward the fanservice.

I put Windows 10 on my laptop to try it and leave the desktop safe, but man nobody said it changes all the swipes. There's no tap to open in a new tab, and no page forward or page back. Those are things I use 90% of the time. The funny thing is if I upgraded my desktop I wouldn't have run into this issue at all.

So, I started Titan Souls, but I don't like it so far:

-too hard. I'd like an Easy Mode with 3 hit points or so
-no checkpoints. Why everytime I die I'm forced to walk for 30-40 seconds just to try to beat the boss again? If you die multiple times (and you will die), this is simply irritating. I'm ok on repeating boss fights, I'm not ok on losing so much time just to have another chance. Just use an approch like Hotline Miami or Super Meat Boy when I die.

Art is good looking and the soundtrack good, but I wasn't really expecting this. Shadow of the Colossus was also about exploration, and so far (I did initial area, ice area and I defeated two bosses on fire area) there's literally zero exploration, the maximum I did was lightining some torches.

Thanks for the heads up!

I'm still shocked at how smooth Nvidia software updates are.

AMD's are always a hell of uninstall > restart > install > restart > check CCC and it doesn't work > uninstall everything > restart > install old CCC > uninstall old CCC > restart > install new stuff > restart > enjoy new update. Some embellishment, but not as much as you'd think.

So, just like Dark Souls then? Excellent.

Um. I definitely don't do that. Fire up DDU -> Boot to safe mode to uninstall -> restart in normal -> Install drivers -> reboot.

...Haven't really had any issues.

Nuketown seems like a decent map (I never played anything past Modern Warfare 2) but I remember it being brought back for multiple games, man people can't let that map go.

It's amazing that there's all this discussion in the West about sexism and the depiction of women in media, but Japan is all like "lookit these boobs bouncing! Yeeeeaaaaaahhhhh!"

Japanese devs really don't care.

Well, in Dark Souls bosses don't insta-kill you and you have actually a chance to improve your character by changing equip, new spells etc, in TS you have your arrow (that you can't even just "shoot", but you need to charge it everytime, and it's an added difficulty) and that's it.

It's a Treyarch thing. the map has always been a clusterfuck but it had it's charm so they keep bringing it back in their games.

I just dont really feel that the new movement stuff works in that map as is. It's gonna like how half the maps in Advanced Warfare feel, where a lot of those maps feel like they were developed before the game's movement stuff was final

The things you're complaining about were its selling points

yeah, pretty much. PunishedSnake, you gotta do your homework before buying a game brah

At least they keep the same name. Hate how halo has the same maps, but always renames them. It gets old quick. Don't know how many names Blood Gulch (Halo 1 name) has.

New Killing Floor 2 Patch ~200MB
Guess it's this:

Those are notes from August 28th's update. They posted the patchnotes for today's update on their forums:

Gameplay
  • Reduced Spartan attack speed to intended value
  • Increased smash knockdown power to intended value (note: text description of perk has not changed yet)
  • Tightened spread on HX25

Audio
  • Added voice over for Strasser, replaces placeholder audio
  • Balanced all voice over audio

Optimization
  • Improved performance on Catacombs
  • General FleX optimizations

Bug Fixes
  • Fixed an issue where HX25 rounds were not dealing impact damage online
  • Fixed some zeds spawning in the wrong wave on normal length games

Known Issue
  • Grenade supplier perk is only working once per game instead of once per wave

Eh. I disagree. There are quite a few bosses that employ an insta-gib attack if you aren't prepared.

Japanese devs really don't care.

The thing is that one would get flak for criticizing it, just try and make a discussion about that on GAF. Japan should not be given a pass. They're capable of doing fine games without the need for using female characters in a fanservicey way or have them be generic characters.

People really can't get over Nuketown can they? It's the one thing from Black Ops 1 that people never get over.

I never played BLOPs 1, but Nuketown was one of my favorites from 2. Maybe its because I am not uber competitive and the Nuketown map was so small and chaotic skills sorta go out the window.

WB has 1 hour in Finnish time to push out the Arkham Knight semi-patch. Exciting!

I'm not sure why they didn't just say they needed a few more weeks for testing within their last announcement. They announced on the 20th that the patch was going into QA testing. I think they would have needed at least 2 weeks (but probably more) to test all the changes, which puts it's launch into September. They should have just said back then that it was going to go past August.

Goddammit D4 is on sale on Humble Store, should have bought that instead of the Telltale games

I dunno. That's the cheapest we'll be getting those Telltale games even compared to summer/winter sales. So unless you have zero interest in it... I mean, even then, if you haven't seen the keys yet you can go *request a refund and buy D4.

*refunds take 7-10 business days.

Wanted to watch a live stream of Mad Max on Twitch so I ended in a stream where I had to subscribe to the person to be able to watch on Source quality.
Since when is this possible?
I think Twitch has just crossed the border.

Yeah, there's no way Steam will beat those TellTale sales in the year 2015. Steam's sale prices in general have been lacklustre for over a year now.

It's been like this for a long time. The streams during EVO all lock the source quality behind the subscription fee.

Anyone else with a 980Ti try playing Ground Zeroes at 4K? Framerate often dipped to the low 50s which is gross on my 4K tv. Fine on my gsync monitor but obviously that's not the same(1440P) Just want to make sure others are getting similar performance.
