i'm already voting for Trump so he'll Make American Libraries Great Again. I search Authors for Warren Ellis and my library network has Astonishing X-Men Ghost Box and a random Ultimate Fantastic Four volume, it's like places don't feel shame anymore.

They will be the classiest, most luxurious libraries the world has ever known. Marble floors, marble walls, gold plated shelves, I'm telling you, mother of pearl fixtures in the bathrooms, it'll be nice. Moderate cover charge, sure, but that's what you pay for the best selection of... uh... things that go in libraries.

Oh, and Trump's name in 50 foot tall letters outside every one.

Every library will be the Trump National Library!

Also, look at the t-shirt I ordered, guys:

I love it. Umaru-chan is the best.

#500-600 on this Marvel Chronological Reading Order attempt has been brutal, not because everything has been terrible but because the gap in quality is so vast now. Spiderman and Fantastic Four are amazing, and have a few dips in quality, while the rest of the books and lines in the order are terrible. It makes it really hard to read, especially when there's several issues in a row of Thor or Dr. Strange, and fleeting appearances from Spiderman or Hulk (which is getting better and better).

Also the strange inconsistency that seems to have appeared in Namor's stories is annoying. He was really interesting at first with his noble, self righteous and holier than thou attitude, but now he's just another love spurned maniac on a mission.

It took me until last week's Comixology sale to finally pick it up, but I gotta say that Grayson is REALLY damn good. One more book to buy month to month.

Edit: Woah woah woah, I'm sure I'm pretty late to the party here, but Grayson and Omega Men are by the same guy and they're the only books he's written? Damn, I'll be following Tom King from now on. This guy's got what it takes.

You gotta love how over half the critic reviews for the Fall of books are from people who have never read anything on the characters they are about.

Because the best place to start reading Ninjak is the issue where he dies, right?

Precisely my sentiments. Dude comes out of nowhere and now he's writing basically 2 of the best series DC is putting out. Crazy.

Whoa, Ninjak dies?

Damn, with a spoiler like that there's not much point in starting to read Valiant books.

One day, I'll make a Jonathan Hickman appreciation thread.

You should invite Busiek to your thread.

There are writers out there who are supposed to be terrific — Jonathan Hickman gets raves, but I read his first volume of FANTASTIC FOUR, and it felt like two issues’ worth of story crammed into a six-issue bag, without much context. And I picked up the first issue of another series he did, and it confused the hell out of me, until I discovered that it brought together threads and mysteries from three other series without any explanation, simply assuming the reader was following other series, at which point I just stopped caring. I don’t want to have to read other series to know what’s going on, and I really don’t want to have to do it without a scorecard.

Space Bucky #3 - guys is this book good or not? I can't tell anymore :/
The art is great but the page layouts are something out of a fever dream, the idea of Bucky and Daisy: Space Assassins is awesome but the stories are random nonsense...I dunno man, I feel like I SHOULD love the book, but I really don't /shrug

I'm going to save my tv-care and give Agents of Shield season 3 a try until i turn it off for being as terrible as the first few episodes of season 1 i saw.

It's the most Kot thing I've ever read, didn't care for it all especially coming from the rather fantastic Brubaker run. Random nonsense seems to sum it up and most things related to Original Sin actually.

All New X-Factor #19 and X-Force #14: both great issues of what I think are two of the most underrated (and different) series recently.

There's a really cool (and sad) bit in ANXF with Danger who, after saving the day in a battle against some sort of soul eating goddess, Polaris says "thank god you're on the team, you must feel pretty good about yourself" to which Danger replies "why would I feel good? I have no soul, I am a thing, I am no different from the bed you are laying in or the bottle you are urinating into" (they're in a hospital), which leaves snarky Polaris with no reply.

And X-Force just continues to be pure insanity. I get that some might get angry at what it dies for Fantomex and Cable's characters but I love it.

Tom King is that dude

Definitely giving his future books a try off his name alone
