There once was a week in preview when "Cortana, pause/play" worked nearly immediately, but its useless right now.

PSA:

For those ppl creating and managing clubs, You can upload a custom image as your background using the Xbox app. Just get an image and upload it and it will show up in your screenshots section, ready to use as a background.

It would be great if the admin would add some actually NeoGaf logos/Images to the club

There are some talented people at ForzaGAF who might be interested in this. If anyone wants to make one I'd be more than happy to use it. It would be fine if you credited yourself somewhere in the image.

For whatever reason I can't quite get this to work smoothly.

Any chance of an idiots guide? Any thing I put in /captures/ wont upload because it doesn't recognise the game.

I found a random image on google and saved it in the captures folder

it automatically shows up in the Xbox App

Then I choose upload and it asks me which game is it from. I just choose a game that I know I wont play, in this case its asphalt 8.

and then it uploads. You can see by the little notification in the bottom left

And now it shows up in screenshots on the Xbox

From there I can add it as a background when customizing my club

Yeah I don't know what they're doing with Cortana, probably experimenting with different "builds", because I remember her working much better (at times) during this summer preview.
Right now she keeps asking me to confirm twice when I shut down the system. Which sometimes leads to :
Her - Do you want to shut down ? (Yes/No)
Me - Yes
Her - Do you want to shut down the console ?
Me - Yes dumbass ! ... wait no, don't parse dumbass, I meant just yes. ... YES !

Yeah, I just wish they'd say why. I don't mind testing but would like to know why I'm not testing what others are. Hopefully, we get the clubs update soon.

It's actually already in the store, but we can't download it yet. I just hope that the SMS relay is on there as well. I would love to get txt messages while i'm playing (so that I don't have to reach for my phone). We need some Cortana integration with it so she could read my messages to me (xbox and skype/sms) while playing. But I know that future is a ways off.

My Kinect only controls my TV volume and power properly if I am at most 3 feet away from the Kinect . Everything else works properly with voice commands across the room. It makes no sense . Anyone else get this problem?

I say play Halo 5 and she never does that but she recnogizes what I said.
I say lauch Halo 5 and she does a store seach for me.
Even with other titles when I say play she often doesn't do anything

Has anyone shared anything to the NeoGAF club? I'm not seeing anything, so I'm wondering if there's a privacy setting I need to change.

If I have to download one more goddamn 400~mb update that seemingly does nothing I will seriously lose it. I only had a little window of time to play online with my buddy today and we missed it because of these near daily half hour updates.

You should be seeing something in the club feed. If you don't see anything in the community feed you might not "follow" the club.

Damn, really? I see the options to leave the club and unfollow, so there's no issues there. I tried checking my privacy settings last night, but I couldn't find anything that would prevent me from seeing club feeds. I'll try looking again.

Edit: All the club and content sharing options were already set to either "Allow" or "Everyone". Maybe there's something the club admins can do on their side?

I can see it (obviously) and the amount of activity in it means others can.

There are no further settings I can change

No, it just says "This club's feed is empty" and it says to check back later or share something myself. I guess I can try sharing something and seeing if that at least shows up for me.

Edit: I just shared my Hail Mary double kill from Halo 5 and it's literally the only thing I see in the feed.

Ok, so it's either a bug that's affecting certain users or I need to dig through all of my privacy settings and see if there's anything else I might need to change.

Edit: I could be mistaken, but I'm 75% sure that this is the problem.

Edit2: I'm sure this includes Party chat, Game chat, messaging, Community feed(Well, there is most of the time only content from friends)...

Can I be in a club and NOT have it show up on the slide-in guide on the left? I only care about 1, but want to stay in a second.. but not have it push my friends down every time I load the friends tab.

this. my biggest issue so far. i want to set a default when i go to the friends tab.

i dont even wanna see all the people i follow. i wanna see my favorites. lemme pick between clubs and non-favorites after that

They just need to replace this club list with a "Club" drop down menu and voilà.

Yeah, that was the problem because now...I see all! I didn't think it would affect club feeds, though. Now I'm dreading the hate mail I'll potentially get from randoms.

Haha. I didn't get many of those so far, but I always responded with stuff like "Thank you, Sir." and reported their ass immediately.

I came to say this. The last time I used cortana, she was almost instantaneous for all functions. With the latest update she's useless.
