Stagger now delays 40% of damage taken (was 35%), and now quickly loses duration when out of combat.

A slight buff + QoL change (and buff in dungeons where you move trash pack to trash pack). I'll take it. Although I think our dps is a little on the low side, but not really expecting that to change.

The Prot nerf was completely idiotic, glad that they listened to the community and changed up the nerf.

I wonder if this means we will get some mechanical changes.

I've been playing around with Enhancement's L60 talents. I think Lightning Shield does have some uses - namely farming Draenor dungeons. It's absolutely the wrong talent to be using in Legion dungeons (Ancestral Swiftness is too good), or raids (Hailstorm scaling), but possibly quite usable in Battlegrounds considering how much melee there is.

Anyone shadow priests have an issue Surrendering on xavius during phase 1 dream state, when surrender kills you, it killed you both in dream and normal state? Cause that just happened to me. Was at 97 corruption in dream state and surrendering, died from surrender and instead of waking up I was just dead. No debuff on surrender saying I couldn't be rezzed either. Luckily he still died, but I was top dps at the time :(. Also, 860 bough of corruption is mine!

If you drop a crafting profession, can you relearn it later?

You can drop it and relearn it from scratch at any point. The only thing you potentially retain when you make that swap is your star rank of Legion recipes, if you buy the book that lets you relearn those from the respective profession vendor.

But yes, herb/alch are the only professions that matter in Legion. I dropped JC/mining last week and I'm only mad that I didn't do it sooner.

Just herbalism.

Alchemists are dumping flasks at loss (or contract manufacture for free) to proc 3 stars and level to 800.

My alt (which I will probably not end up playing but is at 100) is a herb/alch.

It is tempting to dump both mining and JC for that combo again though. Was thinking of herbs and mining. Or herbs & enchanting.

It's still helpful to be able to make them for yourself rather than being subject to the market for raiding. It will always be a useful profession in Legion.

I think Alch also get 2x benefit from Flasks. I couldn't find a passive skill that indicated this, but I did get 2 hours out of every flask tonight. If you are actually using flasks and potions, take alch.

I had an herb/alch alt but decided that with world quests and the natural opportunity to run into herbs in your daily activities for a main, it still made sense to have herb/alch on my main.

I like herb+enchanting on a main due to reputation recipes for the latter. The big enchants were selling for 30k last I checked (?)

I think maybe better to enlist contract manufacturer or guildie. In my server I'm seeing up to 600g net loss between a flask and its actual mat costs.

Enchanting is the best profession you can have on a main character, in my opinion. Not worth considering for alts, but for a main toon, it's great.

Eh I wouldn't be hopeful until 7.1 as far as actual mechanical changes go. Hotfixes between major patches are usually just raw number changes.

For me personally, I want them to buff Fury's damage through the artifact. Two of the golden dragons rarely proc and juggernaut's stack duration just is way too short. So all 3 golden dragons are tremendously underwhelming. Double the proc rates on rage/odyn and increase the duration of juggernaut and Fury will be damn good from a damage perspective.

I hope some enrage reworks come in 7.1, but maybe in the short term they'll lower the amp. Glad Fury finally got some recognition though, incredibly fun spec that just needs some number tweaking here and there.

I wonder what they did with the feedback that no one likes the Demo rotation? That it wasn't a numbers thing, that everyone spoke negatively of it during beta. Repeatedly.

Probably the same thing they did with the other beta feedback.

The motivation to do world quests has left me.

I've gotten rid of those squirrels and harvested those bear livers for weeks now. At some point I just want to fight the goddamn Legion.

Is there a toy that can turn you into those Mana Elves like when you do the dailies for the Nightfallen? Saw a guy in Dal with that on but nothing was listed under his buffs, I dunno.

We finally managed to down Xavius on Normal yesterday.

I feel like its a great accomplishment, even if people are already finish heroic and mythic, lol.

Hunter "hidden" skins: two you buy the other one is a drop from a raid boss. All three are ugly. Perfect exemple to all the work Blizz has put into hunters this xpac.

Accomplishments are relative, focus on what is meaningful to you rather than what others do.

My guild got H Nythendra down yesterday after many, many tries. When you compare that to other guilds stomping HC it doesn't seem like much but it's progress for us.

yeah, well said.

We're gonna try HC Nythendra today, and see how far we can get.

Next week we start on HC directly.

is normal and heroic (and mythic I guess) all on seperate lockouts? I have no idea how it works these days

Yes. Mythic is the only one that uses traditional instance lockout, the others are all loot based lockout, so you can join as many group as you want and kill the bosses over and over but youre only eligible for loot on the first kill per difficulty.

there are so many super undergeared people that my guild will probably keep running normal for a long time. I feel like we could finish heroic in 1-2 weeks if we focused pretty hard on it or did an extra raid day. But it's not a super hardcore guild and that's fine. The crazies have an outlet now in Mythic+.

Yeah, the nature of our guild is such that each week we're getting new people into the raid as they started slower and have only just got past the 5-man gearing hurdles, so I forsee continuing with Normal to accomodate them for a while yet. I suspect moving on beyond Normal won't be an active consideration until at least we've unlocked the shortcut to go straight to Cenarius, although it's concievable we may start poking HC after the week's Normal is complete.

I do wonder if some guilds may have difficulty with that as the fast-gearers feel frustrated waiting for the slow-gearers to catch up. I don't think that'll be an issue for us, we're generally comfortable at our own pace, but it might be a problem in some (in turn, that's a reason why I'm wavering on personal loot versus master looter - at the moment we're using Personal and handing out unwanted loot using EPGP, but I'm still toying with the idea of going full-on ML again, particularly when tier tokens come into play)

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I really like the Beast Master hidden skin. I don't disagree on the Marksmanship and Survival one though. I mean, who wants to use a crossbow?
