With any luck, it will be discounted in some spooooky sales over the next week.

Speaking of soundtracks the latest Beastcast reminds me of when you could listen to some of a games ost by putting the game on a CD player. I miss stuff like that in games.

I didn't even know you could until they mentioned it. It's a cool feature.

Although, really, I wish every game came with the soundtrack. It's only been the last, like, five years that even selling the soundtracks has become a thing. Previously, it was either just in the files or locked away entirely. Although I recall Blizzard, saints that they are, offering Diablo 2's soundtrack on their website at one point; it was really awesome of them.

Now I am listening to Harem. Matt Uelmen is a god.

Holy fuck the comments on GB for the Mafia 3 review are making me think the Gamergaters never actually left that community.

Vinny warned them about making nasty posts in the comments too.

Japanese games have regularly made game soundtracks available. I'm glad it has become more mainstream. Back in the day you'd have to import a Final Fantasy soundtrack.

Jeff's LiS "criticism" remains a very dark moment in GoTY history.
Also really surprised at Alex's score for Mafia 3.
Really thought he'd knock it to a 3 due to repetitiveness.

OK so I guess now we have more of a timeframe for Brad leaving :(

Let's hope he gets that Geometry Wars 1000G before then or I will be sad

lol Brad is never leaving

Also, DOOM is a complete shoe-in for Giant Bomb GOTY this year like no game has ever been in the site's history (deservedly so). Everyone loves it, Jeff was basically as effusive about it as he was Mario Maker.

Comparing the GAME OF DREAMS® Mario Maker with just another shooter hurts me.

I guess they made one right decision last year and for the next decade it will be terrible decisions again. Just as the prophecy foretold.

Best rarely mentioned moment of GotY last year:

When Brad asks everyone to lock in one game for the top 10 and Jeff immediately picks Mario Maker
Jeff "Here's the not so secret secret, Brad, I don't want anything else"

Instead of Lis play a good game like Oxenfree! They share a lot of the same themes but Oxenfree is actually pulls it off.

Jason is going to pull out all the stops to get SFV and God Eater on top ten.

And Dan will probably suggest Paper Mario for biggest disappointment and be immediately shot down.

paper mario has been pretty inconsistent as a franchise for the last few iterations so yeah

my personal pick is ZE3 but I am a huge ZE fan and the only one on staff would be vinny who didn't play them until this year

We all know No Man's Sky is the biggest disappointment anyways.

And thank god that Walker feller isn't here anymore to defend it during GOTY.

I dunno I feel like everyone had a pretty good "Yeah lots of good neat little moment experiences but no real games yet" vibe going in. For basically all three headsets.

The Vive is clearly the strongest of the three and has a lot going for it. The PSVR is actually something approaching market friendly. And Oculus is less technically impressive than the Vive and not nearly as market ready as the PSVR.
Side Note Oculus has been basically radio silent on the Luckey situation and that is messed up
