Let It Die |OT| F2P roguelike Dark Souls with a skateboarding skeleton

Anyone have any recommendations when it comes to weapon crafting? What are generally seen as recommended weapons for most other people?

Liking the game so far but 2 questions: how do you wear decals and not sure what splithium does. I assume that is what I earn when I kill a hater.

You have to talk to the crazy mushroom lady to equip your decals. No idea about your other question, sorry.

I'm only on floor 11. Iron hammer, metal bat and jungle machete have been my main go to. I've upgraded them all the way and mastered them and worst case scenario, things die in 2 or 3 hits

Do I have to beat Jin-Die each time I want to cross Floor 6? Thought each character had to kill her once to get through...

Once you get the decal that converts poison into heals you basically have an infinite amount of healing.
You can pick up the poison snails and take them with you - need heals? throw them on the ground and wait for the poison. After that, you just pick them back up. So good.

It just dawned on me...

Bit of a stretch, perhaps... that game was very randomized. No permadeath, etc.

The Mini-Bosses will continually respawn.

Hugh? That's new. I only had to beat Coen once with every given character for the to be all able to pass through. I beat her once but I had some lives and was very prepared.

Any tips? I know she can not hear well but I don't know how to exploit it. Y just run in circles and hit her when I can.

This game is great, just wish it was a full priced title so it didn't get so grindy. Did a run through with my first 2 star character to get them leveled for floors 10+, not looking forward to doing that every time with a new character.

any time before she teleports all her lazers kinda go crazy and you have time to run up and hit her. When she teles youll get pushed back but no damage.

Any reason some of my basic one star guys get to level 26 when maxed and others only get 25?

Also does a 2 star collector get more bag slots?

The aftermath of your waiting room getting attacked is crazy. There are murder outlines based on where people died and everything.

I feel bad for the mushroom girl being absolutely terrified.

Edit: Oh wait, are the outlines for your people that died or theirs? I got a 2 star beret from one of the outlines.

Thanks a lot. I look forward to finding a new elevator upstairs and evading her altogether haha!

Can't wait to get to floor 10.

Being able to use the premium currency to bypass the roguelike death is nice, but I've a feeling I need to stop doing it. Regularly getting one-shot (well one combo) by floor 11+ screamers. So frustrating using a death metal to continue only to get killed like an idiot by the same fucker.

Outlines are the sign of a successful defense. The loot is something the raider dropped. If your own team dies during a successful defense, nothing negative happens.

I dunno if it's just me but II find it damn near impossible to tell if I'm going to eat a mushroom or throw it when I hit the touch pad. Like I think it's tap it to eat the muchroom but then I hold it and he eats it anyways and vice versa.

I actually sat there and tried holding versus tapping and doing it in different areas of te touch pad and it seemed to be an absolute e crapshoot.

Edit Oh wait maybe I got it so left side to throw right side to eat?

So I know it says the premium stickers don't go away if a fighter dies, but what if you just don't want to use that fighter anymore? Is it permanently locked to them, or can you put it on as many fighters as you want?

Also, dieing in a defense simulation doesn't count as a real death, right?

Left side enters throw mode, X to throw
Right side to eat

Still haven't booted this game up lol

I am pretty sure once you peel one off it disappears.

No you can put it on whomever you'd like / multiple fighters at once.

I am pretty sure once you peel one off it disappears.

Those are the normal ones, they are talking about the kind you buy for 50k and are permanent.

So wait, you just watch this thread

, collect information, and help people, without even playing? That's kind of extreme even for your usual selflessness. :)

I think you should play it ASAP. Our tastes are similar and I'm utterly hooked, both to this and Enter The Gungeon. Roguelite bliss. :)

This game seems ridiculously generous regarding its F2P model. Hell, I keep forgetting you can buy stuff. You can even get lots of bank space without paying a dime, which is usually where other games nail you.

Yeah, I wouldn't get in the habit of doing that.

I guess I don't know how expensive or how cheap Death Metals are, but the only time it really matters is if you were deep in a run.

Dying isn't that big of deal, but maybe I'm wrong, I'm only like 4-5 hours in.

Hahaha. Yeah I can't stop refreshing the thread and I've been watching tons of video to try and learn tips, I'm at the point where it's enjoyable just to know I'm seeing someone in a video screw something up or misunderstand something when I haven't played at all yet. XD

Just haven't had the chance yet this week but I'm going to get as deep as I can into it tonight. I have a feeling it is right up my alley

Death metal is 10 for US $5, with small discounts for buying in bulk.

I've realized at that price, using death metal is just like putting a couple more quarters in to continue at the arcade. I really only use it when my bag is full of materials I've been looking for, or new blueprints, and I die deep. Otherwise I tend to suck it up and go retrieve my fighter the old fashioned way.

Not 100% on the amount or frequency, but you also seem to get some amount of death metals just for playing regularly- possibly 3 per day as a login reward?

Definitely seems like the right way to go. Don't just spend them if you've got them, think about whether continuing immediately is of that much direct benefit. I imagine dying close to killing a boss is another good example of when you'd want to use one.

They've been handing out quite a few as apologies and login rewards, but there have been a couple days with no death metal login rewards.

You can also get them a quest rewards for certain quests.

Slowly been putting together a no commentary walkthrough for this game hopefully to help anyone out if they need it and don't want to be told how to play.

Here is a link to the playlist if anyone is interested: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLJmMRV_srY0BS8-8-G7zrQ4656qpS7CFG

Also a quick tip - Your fighter actually gets hungry if you don't eat regularly! This affects the passive health regen and your stamina. If you listen out carefully you can hear your fighters stomach rumbling. Be sure to chow down on a beast or mushroom every once and a while to keep the hunger negatives at bay.

Ah so at least for your first 10 days of play you get this...

This stuff goes to your Gift Box.

So, you don't get them every day, but you get packs of 4 on the 1st, 4th, and 7th days of the first 10 you play. The logins don't have to be consecutive.

Dunno what happens with login rewards after these 10 days are up, if this resets or what. The first people to be able to find this out are those who have been playing every day since launch, on Dec. 15th.

Thats ~$1.34 cheaper than the EU price for death metals, works out at €0.60 per death metal. But yeah, I only use it if I'm near the end of a long run (or if the game pisses me off ;) ) The only downside with salvaging your fighter is that I tend to logout after spending down to no kill coins so sometimes it feels like its worth popping a death metal so I dont have to grind up 30K to salvage them.

Not available in my country... I guess I could use my US account get this game. Can you play it with an offline PS4? My setup doesn't really allow for a constant connection and I don't have PS+ to begin with.

You need to be connected to the internet, but it doesn't need PS+.
