Huh? Montana had huge amounts of money poured into it, and the Georgia special election is becoming the most expensive in history. A large part of the drive for both of them have been voter registration and get out and vote drives. I mean, I'm not sure what else you can expect. They maybe could have done more in Montana, but they still put in a large effort.

I'm a US citizen and i'm still having a hard time believing this as well... Fuck Trump and I hope the huge dam that's holding in all the bad Karma he's accumulated bursts open and swallows the guy whole.
I hope the rest of the world knows there are many of us here in the US who hate this guy as much if not more than them -_-
Its miniscule but three of my work colleagues have cancelled holidays to the states due to Trump.
Although I'm still saving, its been a lifelong dream to do a coast to coast drive across the states while taking in as many MLB stadiums as i can. Definitely putting that on hold for the foreseeable future the way its going.

The travel industry in the US has taken a hit post-Trump, so it's not that minuscule. I don't think it's like massive, per say, but it's stunted a lot of travel to the country. I remember The Washington Post had an article about awhile back

We can't and we won't.
Republicans hold more power than ever. They were elected all across the states into local positions as well. We literally have to wait for the old generation to die for the ideology to start losing footing. We might even elect a Democratic president in 4 or 8 years from now and they'll still be around either deciding legislation or blocking legislation they don't like. Come back in 30 years.

This administration is such a depressing moment in our history. It feels like the scene in Ghostbusters where the containment unit is shut down and all hell breaks loose. Hatred is on the rise, people are angry and afraid over the wrong things, families are torn apart.
All I can do is protest whenever I can and hope that the more sensible ones can finally stop with the "both sides" bullshit and stand up against the spineless cowards in power who care more about the wealthy than the needy. Hopefully people can realize that healthcare costs will rise along with the ocean tides and start fucking voting these bastards out.
If that doesn't work then well it's been a fun ride for humanity but it'll be soon time for the apes to rise.

This is a disgrace and poor leadership. Of course a 70 year old and his rich old friends don't care about the climate or the future. They barely have any time left in this world. Fuck them. The fact that much of America supports Republicans, many ignorantly, is astounding. There seems to never be a large shift in power. What will it take for people to wake up and realize that these allegiances are not working in their favour all the time.
Sure, fuck them. But they will still have voting power in America so they can't just be ignored.
Also the oposition is weak as fuck so there's no guarantees americans won't pick other Trump in the future (maybe one a bit more competent and therefore worse).
