Good list. I would say TEW2 is a bit low but that is to be expected after the first game. Hope they can prove everyone wrong because the changes and improvements are sound.

Shouldn't #6 be biggest surprise? The concept leaked but we didn't really know anything about it. We also knew Bioware was making a Destiny-ish new IP.

Yeah, leaks shouldn't deter from the fact that it got officially revealed for the first time this E3 especially as it had its odds stacked against it with the Rabbids IP being attached to the game.

They showed one highly scripted gameplay demo. Meanwhile Mario had several live gameplay demos, an amazing trailer, and hands-on on the show floor. If it didn't win that would have been insane.

I disagree. Bloodborne didn't get it that year over Splatoon so Rabbids isn't getting it over something not before known. It would not be in the spirit of the category.

Honestly Spider-Man at #3 is still surprising to me, and I think I made it my #2 or something? I can't remember. A random super hero game, even by Insomniac, shouldn't chart so high. So it obviously left an impression.

#1 is fully expected. Wasn't sure where God of War would sit, but figured it would be high.

Love that Rabbids charted. First collab in a while that just feels pure right, even if it sounded really wrong at first (though the early concept art I thought looked great).

Fair enough, I'm just saying I will be honoring the people that proposed that award in 2014 as I want as much as consistency between the years as can reasonable be had with events that are mainly about hype.

Sim racing games have never been big, unless GT was in the title. It will be interesting to see what happens but unless things go tits up, GT Sport is going to outsell the majority of those games on the list. There simply isn't much of a sim crowd on GAF, don't think it has much to do with sales.

God of War belongs high on that last, don't really give a fuck about anything else on that list besides Monster Hunter.

Truly this is a hell of a E3 Awards we have:
A Dragon Ball Game takes 5th
A crossover between Mario and Rabbids take 6th
and Monster Hunter World with 10th

This is so weird and awesome to look at and shows that there was still something to catch everyone off guard even though this was seen as a bit of a slower E3.

Can't say I was shocked about Mario Odyssey taking it clean though. Kudos for Nintendo for blowing away expectations once again.
