Is Ellie from “The last of us: Part ii” on steroids??

I did not expect any other body after how much training and work she did in the first game.

She is not the typical girl that drink tea at afternoon... she is a girl that is every time running, getting weight objects, jumping, fighting for her life, etc... that give you shaped body.

She's like a third of Joel's size so she probably needs less calories to maintain that than Joel needs to sit on his butt
I know she's not going to need what Joel would but whenever I think about these post apoc' scenarios I always thinking rations of like 800 cals a day and 800 a day is,...woof. But someone else pointed out they have a meat shop..in the trailer so I guess they are doing well for themselves.

It is definetly possible for a woman to look like this (without any steroids). There are some women in my gym looking like this ... but in the apocalpyse where food is scarce (to maintain a calorie surplus even with all the fighting and physical activities) and without a workout routine specifically for muscle volume (deadlifts, rowing,...)? Sorry, but you don‘t look like that only from physical combat. You have to workout to achieve a back like this. Especially as a woman.

The food is scarce? I believe they have enough food in the farm where the Joel's brothers lives in TLOU... they cultivate and raise animals in their own there.
Even travelling... Joel and Ellie never had issues with food.

The setting of the game shows there is food to everybody... the survival is about the infected and human factions.

Ellie still sounds like a little girl (no matter how much they want her to appear tough) so no. A woman on steroids would have more masculine traits like a wider back, bigger shoulders and so on. She's just fit because she needs to be in good condition to survive.

Body's like the pic in the OP take lots of work and dedication
Its no simple achievement you get without trying

A lean body would be more in tune with the setting
Really? I don't go to gym and my back is not far away from what the pic shows... to be fair my back is even more shaped than her but that is because I'm a man ;)

I don't think you have any ideia how some body can get ripped easily.

Drive by a gym and youre going to find some physically fit woman.

She's also not that big.

I've seen women who workout everyday and they have a more toned body.

"But how cam she get enough calories!?"

There's literally a meat shop in the trailer. They have enough fod for the entire community.

Same thing can be said about Joel in TLOU 1. He should've bern skinny because he didn't have enough calories.

Even Bill was chubby.

" ND really trying to push the stong woman narrative."

Sure, make her 85lbs trying to take out physically fit man.

Having her with some muscles makes it a bit more believable.

Meat shop is an interesting detail. Makes sense since animals never got infected. I expect they should have full on farms going on.

Nonetheless it's all still Atomic Blonde territory. Having her muscled a bit doesn't change that.

The whole change up in strengths from Joel to Ellie in TLoU1 was fun. Hopefully she still has some level of realistic vulnerability for a 19 y/o girl and isn't able to straight up blast 220 lbs mofos.

I like how the setting of this game is in a post-apocalyptic world where plant-zombies roam everywhere, and people scavenge infested, dangerous areas to find the resources they desperately need, but Ellie was able to get a nice tattoo on her arm.

That was the first game, at the end, they ended up in a well fortified community that even has electricity.

You need to go to a gym more often. She looks pretty hardy, but nothing that hints at steroids.

I mean post apocalyptic physic for how the game is playing she's right in line with the body they are showing.

We will see how it is in the game. But in a scenario like this it wouldn‘t be very smart to just eat as much as you like because you should always store something for harder times. But in the end I think it is okay for a game to portray a character more muscular than typical people in that specific situation. Happens with male characters all the time. Most heros have a bulging biceps only from hunting and some fist fights. Which isn‘t the case in real life.

It is really a case in real life.

Hunters in the old days have bulging biceps.
Anybody that used a weapon to fight had shaped body.

The actual society didn't walk, run, etc... that is why it is so different from old days.

Just looks at the body that farmers have.
My father has a pretty muscular body that he build using hand shovel to fill customer trucks with sand when he and my uncle started their business... until they bought the first wheel loader machine.
At beginning they only had the ship to get the sand from the river... everything else was manual work.

Ohhhh if you play Football for hobbie every week you get a shaped body too... more on legs than on arms.

Lot of people accusing me and others as someone who have never stepped into gym dont know i made an assessment after years of training, reading forums, youtube vids (scooby, zyzz, gregg plitt etc), counting calories, bulking and then dieting etc.

It takes an incredible amount of work, BB technique to get in shape. Even if you do sports, MMA or any other activities, you have to hit the gym. And its twice as hard for women to gain muscles. MMA fighter have grueling regiment and even then, some of them come off as regular looking women.

Im sure hanging by ledges and just doing calisthenics (jump mechanics in this game) can get you in incredible shape and im not entirely dismissing the point here. But this particular shot is just waaay to much bulkier to resemble ellie.

Father, uncle ≠ Women

Not arguing it isn‘t possible. It is in fact very easy for a man to have shoulders and arms like that. But not like Duke Nukem or Arnold (like a lot of male characters) But there is a huge difference between men and women because a small thing like testosterone. I think this is the main point of the topic.

They had electricity right from the start when they were living in that military zone. Doesn't mean they have the means to just waste power and resources on tattoo shops. We know this is a dangerous world where people are under constant threat of clicker or scavenger attacks. In the first game there's even a village that resorts to cannibalism. I'd say getting a tattoo is a luxury these small, vulnerable communities can't afford. I don't think it makes sense in this universe, but I see others disagree. Cool.

ND really knows what they're doing with this.

I wish ND shows Ellie's boobs now so these freaks can STFU.
yaaaaaaaaasssss show those mosquito bites

There's a lot of strong/real woman out there, you know? Their body hair grows too.
Most women like to be feminine and look like hairy men.

The same way there're a lot of slim and not muscular looking men with woman attributes.
By the way you act I'm guessing you're one of them.

You have no idea if they are constantly under threat or attack or not. They had a dance in the first trailer. It seems they are trying to have a semblance of a normal life to go along with surviving.

Primitive and native cultures were under constant threat from weather, wildlife, other tribes, etc., and they still found time to entertain and tattoo as well.
