i liked it. i liked that the gameplay looked like it was bullethell-esque gameplay and the enemy design was nice.
i'm curious though about the budget and scope of the game. i think i remember hearing that their next game was going to be their biggest yet, but what that actually means is unknown given the size of their other games. Hopefully AA?

Gameplay look fun, I loved Resogun I have 100% trophies in that game. However, I'll be real the character looked quite artificial and not very next-gen at all. Do not like the look of her.

Seems ok, the photo realistic model will age like milk Death Stranding style, but the gameplay's seems there.

Ever since Automata I've been wanting more third-person bullet hell. Housemarque has always delivered so pretty optimistic about this one.

My biggest gripe with this game they announced is that the main character seems like a weak, semi-politically charged idea. I was joking when I first seen it that you play as Hilary Clinton in a spacesuit. Others comments about the character being 'a Karen' is very much in-line with what was presented.
Aside from that (based on what was shown), the atmosphere is great, the gameplay seems proper, and the game's general concept seems good. It's just the choice of character and the icky narrative thats steering me away.

I think it looked really interesting. If the game randomly spins up new maps with that kind of fidelity, it could be a sleeper hit. Will it tickle the crowd that needs a 30-hour narrative to string them along? Maybe not. But I bet it'll be arcade as hellfire with well-tuned controls.

Looks good to me. I was a bit concerned when Housemarqe abandoned Stormdivers (temporarily at least) that maybe they were losing their way a bit in the transition away from their traditional fare.

Not that I know of, the PS Studios logo can show up on third party games, they just have to be published by sony.

I'll likely give this a shot solely because it's from Housemarque. Been a huge fan of theirs for many years now and I trust the quality of their games. Even the ones that I didn't love but wanted to (Matterfall).

I heard this called "Karen in Space" and couldn't help but laugh.
Interesting concept. I wasn't a fan of the Defender-style games they put out, and this seems to be a 3-D translation of that gameplay, with more of a story. I'll pass but hope it turns out well for them and everyone who enjoys this sort of game.

I was thinking the exact same thing.
she looks like Ellen degeneres. Of all the people on Earth, that’s probably the last person you should make your main character look like. I seriously doubt this protagonist appeals to the majority of gamers and I have to scratch my head as to what housemarque is thinking here.
The main character + title of the game already tell me this will be a huge flop unless it gets really good reviews.
it will probably be fun as hell but underrated due to their choices mentioned above
