Yup, I was at Best Buy and well, they were just sitting there... I'm fairly certain that if I had stolen one they would have let me walk out with it wondering why someone would think that they want this thing.
Yeah, they are always in stock here in Ireland in Smyths and other places.
Maybe they should have just gone with the Series X and a digital X instead.
Just the size of the xbox section compared to that of the PS section let you know all you need to know (it was the opposite during the 360 days here in Canada). You should have taken a photo, it would have been undeniable photographic evidence that PS5 has won.
I had seen people commenting to that effect here before, but I figured this must have been flukes... but apparently not, the S is not the "perfect" solution.Every store I'm in there are piles uppon piles of XSS, that shit ain't selling, at least in my country.
That sounds like creative marketing, but I think the only marketing that would work would be to sell them at the dollar store, or on Aliexpress like all the cheap knock off consoles do.Cool. Is MS also offering 1 year of office with a purchase of it in your country?
The Series S is as next-gen as the PS4 with an SSD.I haven't seen next gen consoles anywhere in my area.
I'll try harder next time! thanks!Entry level troll.
Damn, missed opportunity. You could have made a small loss by selling them
Please report OP for low effort console warring.
But sales show S isn't selling enough. It's all about the X.According to ign they are all sold out. And they sell like hot cakes. so probably it was an illusion. In the end series s is MS’s ace console while the series x is just for the hardcore. They will dominate the generation with series S and bethesda.
If she held onto them, she had the last laugh since they're now worth something.
Not gonna happen. Home consoles and handhelds are two very different things, since you know you have to taken power consumption into consideration.I'm really hoping the Series S hardware profile allows them to cram those specs into a handheld mid-gen.
We just had a thread recently about Apples M1 chip, just wondering what could happen in 4 years time with Microsofts emulation wizardsNot gonna happen. Home consoles and handhelds are two very different things, since you know you have to taken power consumption into consideration.

MS aren't emulating the old games, they are recompiling new binaries and letting you download them if you have the disc (or sell/rent you a digital copy). We just had a thread recently about Apples M1 chip, just wondering what could happen in 4 years time with Microsofts emulation wizards

Thanks - are you saying that they don't use emulation on 360 games? I'm not suggesting that they would be able to shrink the Ryzen chip into a portable system.MS aren't emulating the old games, they are recompiling new binaries and letting you download them if you have the disc (or sell/rent you a digital copy).
Apple on the other hand have been the experts at moving their OS and software to new CPU architecture since the 90s--to the point that this ARM M1 chip in a Mac mini can outpace ryzen or intel systems that consume almost 15times the power they do under stress tells you all you need to know about the state of x86.
The nodes will not be small enough in 4 years for the series s chip and whole system to fit comfortably in a portable system like the Switch.
they dont compile from source. they are translating the instructions. its still emulation.MS aren't emulating the old games, they are recompiling new binaries and letting you download them if you have the disc (or sell/rent you a digital copy).

Aww.. She was just too ahead of her time, that's all.
Where in Australia ? Cant find anything in poor old TassieSame here in australia, the series s has been on the shelves for months while ps5 and series x are nowhere to be seen.
hey now, do we want the console to feel even more excluded ? It’s already hard for the series s being the running joke of the internet... not being loved....do we really need to put the poor thing on a thread on its own and for it realize that nobody cares about it?Can we have a general Series S concern thread to match the GamePass one?
