Well, we can all take turns visiting SlimySnakeIf someone two years ago said God of War was coming to PC they would be put into a mental hospital lol
Yeah that was my bad, he had a 1070 ti so a little olderWith a 2070 they should be running console PS5/XSZ settings unless the game has DLSS. Nothing to feel bad about.
What? Buying a PC is much more expensive than a console. Specially a PC capable of running these games.
It's great that Sony is doing these PC releases because they want people to buy Ragnarok. I have no doubt it will help to increase sales of Ragnarok.
lol whats funny is that I was literally just debating whether or not I want to have popeyes for lunch today.Well, we can all take turns visiting SlimySnake
I’ll bring some Popeyes and try to sneak in some whiskey
Sony selling to PC owners, but they selling at a time when they know it's hard to build a PC lol. So this way they can try and ensure people keep there PS5s when they look at PC graphic card prices.
The Geforce Now datamine was not for PC specifically, it is for apps and games using some sort of Nvidia technology. So the Mario game listed was for the Chinese Nvidia Shield.Awesome, when can we expect the Mario PC port news?
The timing of the releases are going to be crucial : if they release too soon or the day of, we'll wonder if the developer really maximized the PlayStation hardware. If they release too late, the game will no longer be relevant.I think it will, and they will get greedy, they will see strong GOW sales on PC and release the second much earlier. (in addition to other games)
Or they can wait a couple years and play the sequel at the best possible settings and unlocked framerates on PC.Smart move by Sony. After playing this they have to buy a PS5 for Ragnarok. New userbase.
Yep this is the point. It no longer makes many sales on PS4, has done the rounds on PSnow and PS+, and hypes up the release of Ragnarok, for later in the year!i think it's fantastic news, more sales on a new platform equals more profit/investment for sony and their game studios.
Plus the PC crowd gets to experience a masterpiece.
And if might help push more consoles sales for the sequel.

I wonder if a port is in the works, where you can build and create on the PC and download them to the PS5 and vise/versa.Amazing how Dreams still hasnt been ported. If there's one game that would be a great fit and can have legs on PC it's that game.
GTA Online as a minigame in GoW Steam version confirmed.GTAO
Fingers crossed that Dreams dies and Media Molecule makes a game again. Its been a decade lol.I wonder if a port is in the works, where you can build and create on the PC and download them to the PS5 and vise/versa.
Yup. The PC versions of these games are even at higher settings than playing it BC boosted on a PS5.Or they can wait a couple years and play the sequel at the best possible settings and unlocked framerates on PC.
Main problem i was worrying about, probably will test it out then. can't stand controllers.
Also wonder why they didn't opt for Raytracing, would do the game some good.

Sony confirmed they won't bring all their games to PC. They said they will keep porting some (not all) several years old games from time to time. Their output seems to be around 4 ports per year, way smaller than their output of new releases on PS.I think apologies are in order. When I said Sony will bring all their games to PC, I was mocked and harassed on this very forum just a year or two ago.
no, unless you want to count Doom Eternal and Deathloop. No new releases from XGS (like flight sim) or Forza have DLSS (yet).Interesting they seem to have implemented dlss into their inhouse engine, they seem to be taking their pc ports seriously at least. Has microsoft put dlss into any of their pc releases yet?

Funny thing with me there's many types of games that I prefer to play with a controller on PC. Some I can't play with a controller like fighters for example.

Every...single...time. This is NOT what's happening, why people like you keep pushing this narrative is beyond me at this point, it makes no logical sense.I think this is a brilliant business move, as a long time gow and ps fan
drop the reboot on pc, get the master race warm and excited to buy a ps5 and the sequel 3 months later .... or wait another 3 years.

Well the problem is that he picked a Ubisoft game as a benchmark.I felt bad for my friend the other day when he benchmarked Far Cry 6 with is "capable" pc with a 2070 and had to turn everything down to just play the game.
But I digress...
I wonder what the recommended specs will be just to play GoW at 4k/60.
edit: 1070 ti, my b
A PC only gamer won’t by a console for one game, but it’s still a smart move since they’ll sell more games both to new users and suckers like myself who’ll double dip for the enhancements. I hope it runs on Steam Deck!Smart move by Sony. After playing this they have to buy a PS5 for Ragnarok. New userbase.
Yeah I’m pretty sure I can easily run this on my seven years old 970 as this runs fine on a base PS4.They included DLSS.
Your 3 year old RTX will blitz its way through this game.
Nobody is forcing you to run at 4K Ultra everything.
The most popular GPUs are still the xx60s and thats not going to change any time soon so clever gamers who got their RTX20s and 30s are pretty much ready for most if not all of next year till Ada Lovelace shows up.
And even then DLSS 2.5 will be out Turing might yet last another generation till Hopper.
I did when it came to baseball. But I also knew there would probably be a few other games down the pipeline.A PC only gamer won’t by a console for one game
I disagree. It’s additional mindshare and more income. Console players will in the majority remain console players. Not talking hardcore here, I’m talking about casuals like the gas man who installed my smart meter, who has a box under his TV and loves playing God of War and Uncharted on it.It would weaken their main brand, just it.
970 bros!Yeah I’m pretty sure I can easily run this on my seven years old 970 as this runs fine on a base PS4.
Do you honestly think that many people who didn't spend ~250 bucks on a PS4 for almost 4 years will now suddenly spend 500 bucks? I think most will just wait and play it again in better quality on Pc since there is nothing to miss on singleplayer games.Smart move by Sony. After playing this they have to buy a PS5 for Ragnarok. New userbase.
