If PSVR2 specs are true, and it still follows the PSVR connection build, it will provide a better viewing experince than the Quest 2 on PCVR. You can hook up your PSVR headset now to play VR games on steam.

Damn pesky PS5 owners refusing to be excited about the sales numbers of xgen ports and wanting exclusive 1st party games for their console of choice!
Current gaming industry is so sad and not fun. Even fanboys are not fun anymore. There is just not enough ammo for the proper console wars.
I kinda miss the good ol days of basic "list wars" where fanboys would post a ridiculously long lists of exclusives (various in quality ofc) trying to one up each other.
It always allowed me to pick the best for my PS consoles and enjoy some of MS offerings on my PC.
Now new big releases are few and rare and it's all about "sales numbers", "eco system ", "S series is good because more people can enjoy it", "xgen makes more money", "exciting discord integrations".
There's just not enough big exclusive games for the list wars. And it's the only thing I care. Not this marketing fluff some people seems to enjoy now days.

If you actually believe there's nothing interesting to look forward to in 2022 you should probably change hobby. It happens you lose interest in something over the years.
Just like you can't have a thread about GT7 without the same people coming in comparing it to Forza.

Hopefully Sony makes the PSVR2 natively compatible with PC. That’ll boost adoption in a big way

I think ur reaching with 3 last of us games though. Factions seems likely. But that will be it. The remake will be 2023 earliest imo. If it was another remaster then maybe this year. But from sounds of it, it’s a full blown remake.

What makes you think Factions is released but not TLOU2 Director's Cut? That sounds even more likely...
The remake started to be developed in 2019. a remake with 3 years of development sounds more than enough but you're probably right that 3 projects released in 1 year is probably too much.
But now...now i want that TLOU Remake + TLOU2 Director's Cut + Factions (PS5) package, lmao

It's going to be a crazy year with all this huge amount super exciting exclusives plus the unannounced ones and many more super exciting multiplatform games, PSVR2, the movies and tv stuff, the improvements in the game services side, who knows if more acquisitions and so on. Plus seems that this year we'll also get Bayonetta 3 and BotW2.

PS5 VR doesn't really need to compete with the Quest. Closest competitor will be Valve Index, which costs twice as much.
Quest 2 is like mobile gaming. PS5 VR is like ... PS5 home gaming. Sure they compete a bit, but not really. Sure everyone can technically just play Fortnite and Minecraft on their phones, which are wireless, but some prefer to play on PS5 (wired.) Same idea with PS5 VR vs Quest 2. Its offering a higher fidelity experience. Has a better controller, better display, etc. Not to mention exclusives.
That's because nobody played it or even remembers it exists.

General PS4 audience doesnt care about that game. Its not a typical Sony game. PC community is where the audience for this game is located.
PC is all about modding. And game like that, would thrive on that enviroment.

Absolute beast year for Playstation. Single player fans are going to eat well.
I'm not sure if it's a priority for Playstation but a surprise multi-player hit would do a lot of good. The way I've seen it, Sony have relied on smaller MP exclusives like fall guys to keep people playing, not sure how a AAA MP will be received.

Yea there is a lot going on. PSVR is something I've been waiting on for a while.
The big budget sequels I've been waiting on like GOW, HFW, and GT7. There are others as well though.
This hasn't been a bad year. Better than anticipated honestly. I just created one hell of a backlog for myself but didn't intend to.
Bought Kena on sale, Guardians, Miles Morales (which is gorgeous), and TLOU2 all within 5 days lol. Looks like I'm going to be busy for a couple years.

the One guy with the derail isn't a fan of Xbox, hates the Series S and seems to have an unhealthy dislike for everything cross-gen. He's not hiding it at all.
