If there’ll be no exclusivity, then what’s the point? I’m confused.
I really don’t get this purchase, honestly. Self-published in particular makes no sense to me in the context of an acquisition.
Seems Microsoft passed on that.
They'll release games on PC. It's not rocket science. The games won't release on Xbox. Keep dreaming, though.
« Anywhere people play » is a weird way to say that, although I guess you’re right as it makes zero sense otherwise.this could mean PS and PC, not Xbox.
Moving goalposts, I see.Ass of Can Whooping are you reading this?
Why not buy them anyway? After all, MS has "unlimited money"Not surprising MS passed, probably due to the possibility of the Bethesda acquisition. Most of the original talent has gone elsewhere & they've been coasting off D2 for a long time. Hopefully Bungie got a banger in the works though!

Imo Housemarque and Bluepoint were awesome acquirements (Not that PC porting studio tho)All I'm saying if Nintendo can have studio like Monolith Soft that makes exclusive JRPG for them then so can Sony.
I fucking miss being excited for first party Playstation games.
If you believe Sony paid 3.6b to keep new games on Xbox, you're in for a rude awakening.« Anywhere people play » is a weird way to say that, although I guess you’re right as it makes zero sense otherwise.
I dont think its bad, they need FPS studio under their belt.Pretty bad move, looks like current Sony is killing itself

I think Bungie's post on this and Sony's post on PS.Blog is pretty clear on this. They are going to stay multi-platform and they also said the same of any future IP. It's pretty clear I think. It's a partnership between Bungie & Sony — where they are part of PlayStation and also independent.this could mean PS and PC, not Xbox.
xbox is not half their userbase.Serious question, do either of you play Destiny 2? The Bungie.net website is tied to Steam, Xbox, PlayStation, and even fucking Stadia.

They're talking about not cutting out 50% of those players when they say "one, unified Bungie community"
Why not buy them anyway? After all. MS have "unlimited money"
Oh so, they'll still publish on Stadia? Just not MS? Got it.xbox is not half their userbase.
Destiny 2 will remain multiplat. Just like Warzone and Minecraft. New games won't be on Xbox. It's seriously not that hard to get.Serious question, do either of you play Destiny 2? The Bungie.net website is tied to Steam, Xbox, PlayStation, and even fucking Stadia.

It’s not exclusive until COD is exclusive to xb, then it will be exclusiveThey aren't making Destiny 3. They're working on a new IP and they already said it's not exclusive. Read the thread.
Seems Microsoft passed on that.
How do you know it won't be good for PS? They are exactly the type of developers Sony are lacking in their roster. Fps and multiplayer games is what Sony will need........Bungie? Now? and for what price? what are they smoking? This feels 99.9% reactionary and more of a "oh YEAH well look at THIS" move than something that would be actually good for the future of PlayStation.
Q. Bungie has future games in development, will they now become PlayStation exclusives?
No. We want the worlds we are creating to extend to anywhere people play games. We will continue to be self-published, creatively independent, and we will continue to drive one, unified Bungie community.
stadia has like nobody, so likely not - it'll prob be dead by then.Oh so, they'll still publish on Stadia? Just not MS? Got it.
I would be interested in seeing some screenshots of people’s trophy counts for Destiny and Destiny 2 considering they are now the ‘king of FPS’![]()
Yeah, sure, just like Bethesda and A/B are commited to it. Just like they didn't mean to take userbase from other console. C'mon, you're too old to fall for this shit.I think Bungie's post on this and Sony's post on PS.Blog is pretty clear on this. You know why.stadia has like nobody, so likely not - it'll prob be dead by then.
Why are you so protective of this lol
How does Jez know like? Was he at the negotiations? Talking shit as usual.Sony just taking crumbs from the table.
Lost of Bubgie IP:MONOPOLY
I really like D2, so speak as a fan.Hows destiny doing nowadays i remember 1 was huge, then destiny 2 came out and everyone was upset until the expansions fixed alot of complaints. Now you dont hear much about it anymore until now that is. Hopefully sony greenlights a myth sequel.
No, they are not being vague about this in anyway. They haven't left any room for doubt. Read the FAQ page by Bungie. If you have and you still feel that way, that's fine. But I think it's clear as day.Yeah, sure, just like Bethesda and A/B are commited to it. Just like they didn't mean to take userbase from other console. C'mon, you're too old to fall for this shit.
MS paid more than 10 times more for that acquisition. MS has spent more money than god and has still yet to see returns on it.Microsoft gets Bethesda and Blizzard, Sony gets... Bungie.

He doesn't. This is denial and downplaying. This thread is full of salt from the same people who would be praising if this was MS get.How does Jez know like? Was he at the negotiations? Talking shit as usual.
Nah Destiny always sucked. WoW has only sucked since Legion. So last week CoD, WoW, Overwatch etc. sucked.
This week, apparently Destiny now sucks. Weird how it seems like so many games suck based on who owns them.![]()

That what i said you can extrapolate a part of it and try to bend it to your purpose. But this just make.me laugh. The point of that discussion was that Sony cannot afford acquisitions of 30 + b. and it can not. They spent 3.6b in factMoving goalposts, I see.Ass of Can Whooping are you reading this?
they have 13 to 18b to invest in 3 years..and they have other pillar divisions ...sony music - Sony pictures - Funimation and then Sony interactive entertainment..in this we are keeping out the R&D expenses of the sensors department, tv, etc. etc.
lets say we count just 3 divisions....from 4 to 6b per division in 3 years ....
or 1.something to 2b
The total M&A cash is 24b.....Sony just can't buy EA Sony can't buy T2...Embracer or Bandai Namco ....they could risk everything for square ..Sega or stuff like that but i doubt other divisions let SIE do it
they will get a Japanese publisher...the best they could would be Square with final fantasy...nothing earth shacking ...but good get
wake me up the day that Sony will invest more more than 5b in one m&a
LOL.Multiplatform because they want cod to be multiplatform as well, if ms stops cod on playstation, so will sony and bungie, u have read between the lines, good buy if they can get bungie to make something as good as halo.
That's why neither Sony nor Microsoft will stop releasing their games on other platforms (until the end of this gen)
I love the game and being able to hunt for guns and add them to your collection is what I love about it. The recent Grasp of Avarice dungeon is super fun. PVP is definitely due an update but even as it is, it's fun.I really like D2, so speak as a fan.
It’s in an ok place. D2 is an odd game. Absolutely best in class gunplay and some great locations, but the game is very compartmentalised. You just bounce from one place to the next, grinding for weapons. Now, that’s my thing but I know a lot of people have turned away from it.
Also, the PvP is absolute broken ass.
Of course they're being vague. It's written PS exclusive. They carefully avoided putting "release on xbox". Not being PS exclusive means releasing everywhere but Xbox. It's seriously not hard to understand. But go on and live on denial if that makes you feel better. No, they are not being vague about this in anyway. They haven't left any room for doubt. Read the FAQ page by Bungie. If you have and you still feel that way, that's fine. But I think it's clear as day.
