I don't know why waste time and resources on CGI trailers. Wouldn't it be better to just announce the games at a later date, with actual gameplay? Just my opinion but I would get far more hyped that way.

And I'm looking at you Perfect Dark. Hope we get to see it this time, I'm curious to see what they've done with one of my favorite childhood games. Not specially optimistic, just curious.

Won't happen, I think Disney will give the Mandalorian game to someone else because with Bethesda wouldn't be ready until many years in the future. They'll release Starfield this year of the next one and some years latter ES6.

Pretty likely I'm wrong, but I think from Zenimax the studio that doesn't have anything announced for a longer period of time is ID Software, who released Doom Eternal a couple of years ago and since them released some dlc and updates. MS can always drop another CG logo teaser, but I assume they'll wait a year or two before announcing their next game, which I assume will be a GaaS focused Doom.

No they announced they’re working on something new but smaller and gears 6 but that gears 6 will be further out because of the transition to ue5. So they’ve been on internal processes and tools Duty as shown by the tech demos and matrix demo. It’ll be interesting to see when they announce their work

I've set my expectations low so would be happy with the announcement of Activision games on game pass soon. I want to play CoD and Tony Hawk.

With so many projects long announced years ago with a CG trailer, it'll be hard for Xbox not to show at least something most people would be interested in.

However, "nearly every" studio having something to show? Doubtful. I imagine they'll want to spread their announcements and reveals out, giving each of their studios a time to shine. You don't by up 30+ development studios to have everyone dump their news on the same day.

How much of what's being submitted will actually be gameplay? MS has gotten out of hand with the 'in engine" and CGI trailers announcing games 3-5 years out over the last few years. I miss the days when their shows focused only on what was going to release between now and next year's show. I also miss live gameplay demonstrations, over the last generation MS turned their E3 into basically place to play trailers made for youtube, they were trying to combat the "xbox has no games" narrative by showing every 3rd party trailer they could get so by the end of the show nothing stood out.
