The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom – Mr. Aonuma Gameplay Demonstration

Ascend feels more like hacks than a good feature, kind of kills some of the exploration by just automating it, kill a little bit of the fun.
I was kinda thinking the same, but climbing with stamina in the first one was as fun as kicking a steel bar with your bare foot so maybe they want to give an option to cut that entirely for people wjo didn't enjoyed all that climbing in botw.

With the new layers of combining / crafting / fusing and all the new systems that brings (eyes for tracking, smoke, etc), I'm glad that they've gone all-in on the creative sandbox side of the game.

Holy shit, this looks absolutely bonkers. It's like they took the core concepts of BOTW, and injected 3 times the reccomended ammount of adrenaline on it.

For anyone saying this game looks ugly, please go see an eye doctor.

Uh no, its ugly. I'm hoping it was the compression of the video they were using because it looks like a PS3 game.

I'm still getting it day one of course, but after 6 years in the oven this should look like more than a BOTW expansion.

Part of the fun for me was seeing an out of reach place, and not being able to reach it until I leveled up my stamina, it was one of the only parts of the new system I liked.

Now we've got clipping hacks.

Grezzo will hopefully be releasing something soon.
Please! The links awakening remake has been my favorite zelda game so far on switch.

Also, predicting todays yotube thumbnails. Gamexplain is probably just now figuring out how to turn each minute of that 14 minute video, into its own ten minute long video

The FUSE thing is pretty amazing, it's like Banjo Kazooie Nuts & Bolts only you don't need the garage. This is what they have been spending all this time on, getting this to work with all sorts of items in an open world with physics is a big task.

And I love that they are showing you the game like this.

They're adding bunch of new features to the sequel and there is still a lot they haven't shown. Sequels don't need to reinvent (read: completely change) everything about the game lol.

I'm pretty excited about what I saw. I did not care for BOTW primarily because of the weapon durability issue, but Fuse seems to directly addressed this. I'm excited.

How spoilery is this?

It isn't. No story at all really. Just game features.

Man I miss classic zelda, ALBW was one best games I ever played, open world zelda is great but can we not get both styles.
I think that good Zelda is dead and gone now, usually when they dwell on aspects of an IP and keep expanding upon them, they usually don't go back.

People really are desperate to be mad about something.

It was a video on a handful of features. No word on actual content at all. I'm not saying you're guaranteed to love it but people are just in a rush to dismiss it as lazy DLC when they haven't even actually shown you anything yet.

Looked great, the islands look big and have a lot to them.

I think they are going to do this weekly now, he said that's all I'm gonna show today. It makes sense to unveil more and more towards launch.

People who gonna hate are gonna hate, but the systems level they are doing here is unparalleled.

Then you have no idea what an expansion actually is. First of all, this was a glimpse on what, 5% of what the game offers? Secondly, the physics of the game ain't just fine. That shit is insanity. No game has done stuff like this, not even half of it.

People said the same thing(Graphics) about BOTW, and after the game released, everyone realized it was a bunch of crap.It will be the same here.

was this expected? had no idea they were going to show gameplay today

this being said, the rewind ability could have fun applications, but i guess it will be much less organic to use than the otheer one, fuse, which looks like a lot of fun to play with, but this will also depend on how many gameplay application they could create with design and emergent gameplay..in botw you could cut trees to make bridges, but you only do it like one time in the entire game and then you forget it's a possibility

i don't like the last option..seems to take away some of the traversal gameplay and stamina management when you can auto ascend through every ceiling

so far not terribly impressed, looks like nothing you could not achieve with a big expansion of the first botw, but i doubt they have shown us everything.

My eyes were bleeding from the graphics. is this 320p upscaled ? very distracting

I am sure the game is fire but Switch 2 can't come soon enough. this is just borderline eye hurting.

People need to buy this and emulate their copy on PC for 4k 60 fps. like this is just No -_-

Are the sky islands replacing the shrines? Can you ascend just at fixed locations or through every ceiling? Can’t watch with sound now.
