To be fair, you could say everything has taken a price leap in the past few years.

However majoras mask.had 1 year , tears of the kingdom has had 6 .......It looks serviceable, but I'm not blown away by what they've shown. They're obviously riding on the coat tails of BotW's runaway success. It's not like the Zelda series is a stranger to reusing assets. Lots of people claimed that Majora's Mask was just a reskin of Ocarina of Time. From the outset it kinda looked that way, but in the end it became its own thing, just like I'm sure this will.
Reused world, no change to any of the gameplay systems fans decided didn't work, ZERO iteration of the games tech or visual identity. . .all of that you can gleam from this presentation (not sure where you are getting that this is a "trailer").
What’s wrong with people enjoying good graphics? It was a joke. jesus. I was mocking graphic whores.
Anyone who says Majora's Mask was just a reskin of Ocarina of Time clearly didn’t play OoT or MM and talking out their asses. It looks serviceable, but I'm not blown away by what they've shown. Yeah they can both exist and it’s lovely to have both but gameplay is undeniably more important if you can only choose one. It’s why games like Ryse and The Order are bargain bin trash but BotW is legendary. What’s wrong with people enjoying good graphics?
Never understood this take people have. It’s like graphics isn’t a big part of gaming, it’s like we only should be expecting Tetris level graphics because otherwise you’re a ”graphic whore”….
Graphics and good gameplay can coexist, just because people like good graphics doesn’t auotmatically mean they don’t care about gameplay….

No, Nintendo is the one who brought up the price.Eh, you're the one that brought up price.
There is big difference enjoying good visuals and being graphic whore. I’m looking gameplay it’s gorgeous looking game but it to some people considered shit because it’s not high tech enough…..but what fuck do I know, apparently FFXVI looks like PS3 game according to some people here. What’s wrong with people enjoying good graphics?

I don't think people fully realize how insane that is. Any item in the game you can turn into weapons lol, combined with other items. Then augment them further with hundreds of things? Ice shield, steak sword, who the fuck knows lol. It has the potential for experimentation and discovery just nonstop. Then the vehicles. You can probably build fucking houses or bridges. My god I’m loving the fuse mechanics for the weapons.
I was speaking specifically about when Majora's Mask was announced. Pictures of previews in Nintendo Power magazine, that sort of thing. At the time, it seemed like a low effort cash grab (what many people in this very thread are saying about this game without having played it or seen much of it).Anyone who says Majora's Mask was just a reskin of Ocarina of Time clearly didn’t play OoT or MM and talking out their asses.

I don't think this game's or BOTW's bigger issue was the hardware. Like i said in a previous post, these latest Zelda games look washed out. There's a lack of color and contrast, despite the game being cartoony.
I mean Μetroid Prime Remastered looked great on the hardware. Mario Kart 8 still looks amazing. And did anyone ever complained about the Link's Awaking Remake graphics? All these games look great, despite the weak hardware.
It's just the dull colors. I don't know why they made it so washed out.
it’s gorgeous looking game
So, having new gameplay mechanics with a totally new story and a bigger world is making the game less interest for you... thats weird.each time I feel less and less attracted to my fav game series, like they're now catering to a totally different kind of gamer.
those who like:
-survival mechanics
-construction of stuff
-physics
Nevertheless I'm a sucker for Zelda and always be, so I'm still buying and playing even though right now i feel 0 hype and no will to play it.
It was inexcusable not that long ago. I wonder what changed?Yes that $10 increase is inexcusable.

Like what game exactly? I can't recall many games from 2017 that were this ambitious gameplay wise. If they did, they were really limited and focused on one or two things or on PC and were quite broken. At least...I can't think of any open world adventure games that relied so heavily on physics based systems. Far Cry 2 and Crysis..kinda? Most games today play like games from 2013 tbh.Because it looks exactly like a game from 2017 in 2023.
Not everyone is willing to give Nintendo a pass regardless of what they do.
I don’t know maybe and just maybe I like the visuals and it’s aesthetics despite not being high tech, OMG that’s sound super crazy! In what dimension?
Can’t wait to go back to those soothing grassy lands.I don’t know maybe and just maybe I like the visuals and it’s aesthetics despite not being high tech, OMG that’s sound super crazy!

The “dungeons” on BotW was so bad that it is impossible to do worse so I’m sure even if we didn’t get proper dungeons, it will not be as bad as BotW.Just watched the video. Looks fun to me, but makes me want to know more about the overall game. Doubting we'll see (if not, very few) traditional dungeons, but one can hope.
I'm a dreadful optimist.

I can’t wait to do free fall like I did with Gravity Rush 2 in this game. Can’t wait to go back to those soothing grassy lands.

I'm actually a little excited by the fact that it looks slightly rough. What I mean is, it looks like they are just 100% going all in on gameplay first this time. That I can understand, but you have to admit that it looks rough. The grainy, aliased shadows and overall not very clean looking, nor very crisp. Xenoblade for example is way better in those regards.
Switch it’s not powerful system but despite of that it looks good to me. Xenoblade also great looking game but remember that game’s world it’s not as interactive as Zelda. That I can understand, but you have to admit that it looks rough. those are not new gameplay mechanics though, can be found in many games already.(i don't play those)So, having new gameplay mechanics with a totally new story and a bigger world is making the game less interest for you... thats weird.
If God of War Ragnarok and Tears of the Kingdom are examples of bad sequels, I'm interested which you consider good. Crackdown 3?LMAO what the fuck have they been doing the last 6 years ? This looks like an expansion pack. This is GoW Ragnarok all over again.
How depressing.
I hope they have a dungeon.I hope they have a whole time rewind dungeon.
I know it is. So you're just saying it looks like BOTW? In what way, the graphics or gameplay?Considering that it looks like mud, yes.
Breath of the Wild is from 2017.
I mean... You can play the game in a traditional way if you want. Is up to you, like BOTW.those are not new gameplay mechanics though, can be found in many games already.(i don't play those)
I'm sold for the story, lore of course. I'm just saying the gameplay makes it less appealing that's all.
You have the chance to rebuy it on their next console in 2024.of course I’m already in but damn I wish it didn’t have framerate drops so frequently
