Guys, Gals, the Dalai Lama posted a message to the PS5 and Xbox fanboys after the acquisition news hit Twitter. I think we should all consider heeding his advice.

We all want to live a happy life and avoid suffering and we all have a right to fulfil that wish. CMA already outright said they won’t be influenced by the EU’s decision.

Do you mean the other way around?

And the CMA's decision sets a precedent, which will be taken into consideration by both the EU and the FTC. And, like I say above, the EU are historically a lot more risk averse and restrictive than the UK when it comes to business practises. They are far more likely to follow the CMA than go against it, especially when the FTC are wobbling too. They've already filed to block it once.

I think the whole deal is dead in the water at this point. And I hope MS realise this, pull back, pay up the 3 billion, and turn their attention to actually getting some games made.

Found another treasure

Colt has to be paid by MS. No one can be so ass-deep in their own favourite box to be able to logically believe these type of things.

Its only bad if its Sony bashing MS. Other way is totally cool and acceptable.

These content creators don't need to be paid by the company they shill for. The content platforms themselves provide the incentives to increase engagement at all costs.

Aww what's stopping MS from buying studios? They have bought plenty and a big Publisher/studios with Bethesda. Why don't they buy new start ups like Sony has recently?

I'm answering a question on whether future studio purchases will stop. The asnwer is no and you are agreeing with me. Reading comprehension 101

Good idea, kill off your second biggest and only other market because of hurt feelings.

Brad will be calling you later to offer you an exec post at MS

Well if cloud gaming is going to be as big as the CMA predict it to be, surely it's worth killing off the UK gamepass market in order to make your cloud gaming service trillions!!!!

Don't think you get it, if MS want to continue to buy Activision, firstly they will have to put in another contract that doesn't state the deal needs CMA approval. Also they will need to cease trading in the uk, entirely. Not just gamepass or xbox.

Don't you read you fan fiction correctly?

So you do not know the difference between sony buying a studio called Firewalk (bet you can't even think of a game they have made) and MS buying a publisher called Activision? less than a year after also just buying a publisher called Bethesda?

Are you in that much denial?

Notice how no one batted an eye when MS bought Ninja theory? Same reason no one bats an eye when Sony buys studios that are typically usually already working with them exclusively.... even if that wasn't the case with ninja theory.

You don't sound like a person that would suffer from reading comprehension, but here we are. The guy I'm replying to just said that Sony and Nintendo better stay the fuck away from buying any more studios after this decision. I said NOPE, and pointed out exactly what you're highlighting. This blocking of Activision/Blizzard purchase has no bearing on other acqusitions and you agree with me.

Stop replying based on emotions. You can't make this stuff up. 🤦‍♂️

The surest sign the deal is dead is the reaction from Kotick and Smith. This isn't the behaviour of two people who've encountered an unexpected but manageable setback, it's the reaction of two people who know they've been shafted and there's nothing they can do about it. Predictably, the first stages of grief are denial and anger.

Let me see if I got this shit correct...

Let's take those 10 mins a day x 30 days... that's 300 minutes... divide by 60, that's a grand total of 5 hours.

Gamepass is around 10$ a month, so that means you got the equivalent of 10$ for 5h of work... Split that shit by 5 and you're working for a trillion dollar company at the going rate of $2 per hour...

My guy, i have a massive lawn in my property, i'll double that fee and you come and mow it for me once a month, how's that for a deal? :messenger_sunglasses:
Will you shill for me in gaming forums at that rate?

It’s hilarious how little self awareness some people have. Get on a trillion dollar thread mill like a little rat for 2$ an hour, hell on earth.
Today I got a special treat. One of the daily tasks today is to hit a "Stock Market on Bing" button and it pops up and shows you Microsoft's Stock. Easy +10 Points

They won't pull this off again. That's the thing. This is setting up a great precedent for the industry. All eyes are on this acquisition.

They will now appeal, they will spend another year on this. Otherwise they will have to pay billions to Activision if they back off now. This will be a mess and draining for all parties involved now, lmao.
and this makes you all happy why??????
