Post a picture of yourself, if you dare...

No pity here, you look immense with those scars. Real G shit. Glad cancer didn't get you, fuck cancer.
Thank you for your kick ass uplifting words 😄

I've been surprised by the outpouring of Love in here and in a handful of PMs.

I did hesitate a bit before posting this pic because I don't like bringing attention to myself.
But I felt it was important to show that we can be "damaged" yet still live happy fufilling lives.

Now enough about me, let's bring on more beefcakes!!

Here I am about 15 minutes ago in a break from gaming.

That scar in the middle is from my cancer operation when my colon was removed in 2018.
That left scar is from july last year when a metastasis was physically removed from my liver.
Up left is a Raphael TMNT tattoo that looks like shit because I had it at 17 years old.
Up right is a little Demon dummy on my heart. Also now loks like crap.

We are all beautiful in our own way and shouldn't shy away from showing ourselves :messenger_grinning:

Except me. Good Lord I'm sorry in advance I had to subject you to this.

My days of being an abdomen model are over.

EDIT: I did not post this to make you all feel uncomfortable. Even today the word " Cancer" is taboo and I understand this.

But I'm all good! Getting follow up scans since 2018. I got an All Star team of doctors looking after me.

I want NO PITY from that pic. I am a happy fucker and just wanted to post a different pic compared to all those beautiful young muscled up beefcakes 😁

Laughing at cancer is ok.

I love Gingers :messenger_smiling_hearts:
A not so nice car accident. People oncoming in my lane late a night on a rural road. Drunk as skunks going way over the speed limit.

Ended up with a broken arm, ribs, foot and fractured pelvis and vertebrae, but nothing that wouldn't fix other than the arm. Needed a big ol steel plate and plenty of screws in there

Yeah I'm pretty ginger as they get, doesn't help living in a hot country like South Africa either

Why did you stop?
Hey Con, do you ride friend ?

Anyway, regarding your question : friggin' priorities man, that, and the fact that bringing the bike to the new country would have been a ball-ache due to the bureaucracy involved, not having a garage etc etc...
Plus, had to finally get a car at 40++ years of age since the girlfriend moved with me and i also have to take my mother here 'n' there, it's not like i could have done a 3-up on the monster ;) basically, something had to give in the end.

Don't know brother, it may sound pretentious but...i missed sweating under my leathers.
Fuck it, gonna show some restraint for the time being but my next bike it's either gonna be a Diavel 1260S or, a MV Agusta Rivale 800 (always liked the Rivales, never had an MV so i think it's right about time)

Cheers friend

Live from NeoGAF, it's Friday Night!
Hey Con, do you ride friend ?

Not really. My father still owns a Honda Rebel that I took for a ride years ago but I don't have a licence.

Was just curious since you seem passionate about it.

Ahhh, a GSR 600 - one of the most g'damned honest bikes out there...Love it !

Looking goooood my brother ! - if you looked any more Italian the universe would implode😁 (that's a compliment btw).
You're a good looking fella, and by the way...

Also : nakeds it's where it's at, SuperSports are - for me - track only "surgical tools" while ADV bikes are just fucking heavy and cumbersome, I die a little bit inside each time I see a Beemer GS1200 acting on scooter duty by the usual crowd, meanwhile, nakeds offer the best of both worlds (almost)...

I still remember when i toured the Balkans 4 years ago on my M1200, I had more than 6-7 guys on Kawa KLR's, BMW GS's, Triumph tigers, Ducati Miltistradas etc going "are you touring on that thing ? " during border stops/checks/ coffee breaks 😁

Also : yeah man, we're old 😂

Cheers brother

I was just too tall and big for a supersport but the 2016 yamaha r6 is still my dream bike.

Do it

Life's too short man (I lost my 65 years old uncle just 3 days ago) to postpone things/dreams, sure, money's always a factor but...
That's why I promised to myself that as soon as I put some money aside, it's going towards a Diavel/Rivale/Brutale, I mean, I drink, I smoke, I eat...I might as well continue to enjoy riding and die while doing so instead of having a stroke/whatever - and I'm being dead fucking serious here...

In life, you gotta enjoy whatever makes you feel better, healthier and also younger at heart, the rest is all bullshit - one day you're here, the next you're gone.

Take care brother 🙏

No no, i'm out of the circle, i just can't deal with the discomfort, the big helmet that i always need to bring with me, the fucking backpack always on...like they say in lethal weapon, i'm too old for this shit, also, i'm really too big for a supersport 600.

I use a scooter to move around these days.

(Always been a fan of pimped out scooter that run faster than some bikes, my city was big in the pimp scooter panorama many years ago.

But...but that's what's fun about it, the whole...discomfort thing 😁

In all seriousness, that's also something that I miss since it kept me more active - the fact that you have to be on alert not to forget your helmet/backpack, putting your gloves and helmet on before each ride, getting on and off the bike constantly, checking the tyre pressure, doing all the "pre-flight" checks ...it becomes a (daily) ritual in the end and it's something that I miss dearly.

Nowadays, I just get inside my car and...drive to my destination - there's no gusto, no joy, no excitement whatsoever involved, it's boring as fuck and in all seriousness , it's also bringing me down, I need something to keep me excited brother and driving a car ain't it, everything feels way more "restricted" and joyless.

Thank God for videogames, music and cinema 'cause otherwise I would have shot my brains out (figure of speech) from all this boredom, I really, really miss this hobby of mine and it's something that many people in my social circle don't understand (not that I really care), still...

This is why i still drive a powerfull scooter, it still gives me some of the joy of driving a 2 wheel.

I hate driving cars.

Vespas are cool if you're in a good region for them. In the States it's a death sentence. Better off getting an e-bike so you can use the bicycle lane since Americans are slightly less likely to murder you with their giant SUVs while texting. But somewhere like Italy, where the cars are smaller and the typical speeds are lower, narrow streets everywhere, for sure.

Yeah I watched my share of road rage video's and the States doesn't seem the place for "scooters" or bicycles. I think i know there are many in the big cities but damn. Compared to here it's scary to see...
