The Dreamcast was AWESOME, their games were awesome (Jet Set Radio, Shenmue, Skies of Arcadia, Soulcalibur, Virtua Fighter, Sonic Adventures, Zombie Revenge, F355, RE Code Veronica, D2, Toy Commander, Power Stone 1&2, MSR, PSO, Crazy Taxi, Space Channel 5, Samba de Amigo, REZ, Ikaruga, Grandia II, Virtua Tennis 1 & 2, Dead or Alive 2, Berserk, Street 3 Third Strike, Capcom VS SNK2, Marvel VS SNK2, House of the Dead 2... 99% of those being masterpieces, in 2 MOTHER FUCKING YEARS).

I wouldn't say that Xbox state now is comparable to SEGA state back then. I bought a Dreamcast on day one, this is to date my favorite console ever and yes the 1st Xbox had a little "Dreamcast vibe" and some people totally jumped just to be opposed of Sony and their PS2 but as much as the 1st Xbox was a very good console with dozens of awesome exclusives, the Xbox Series exclusives have been at best "not that bad / average" and at worst "wtf is that shit", so no, don't compare that to the Golden Console that is the Dreamcast.
