Anything I say is your entertainment. Best to just not say anything. I got it.Be strong, buddy. People of your kind are dropping like flies. We need you as we need competition
i dont undestand what you just said, but it makes me happy you are still here with us.Anything I say is your entertainment. Best to just not say anything. I got it.
Do it yourself. Look at MS games list.
Save me from these pointless clarifications. Dont agree if you dont. But its clear what I am saying.
This is pretty exciting to be honestWhat Tom actually said was that people within XBOX don’t really know what MICROSOFT is going to say/do….the wording is key.
Think about it.
You couldn't be further from the truth. Did you watch their last State of Play (or any for that matter, they suck and are uninteresting because they highlight a lot of AA titles)? Are you aware of the games that are on Playstation Plus? Majority of the games that are being released on the Playstation platform are not AAA.Do it yourself. Look at MS games list.

Fine. Im talking about consoles in shorthand and generalizing industry trends broadly. Just let me make a point. This is why I bought Series consoles. Sony is all AAA. I literally dont know why I have to fight on even this. Its exhausting.
Only a week or so more of thisme, reading these xbox-ded threads while knowing exactly 0 facts
Yeah that's what I just said. They're pushing mostly AA games. The only disagreement is that I like that.Microsoft is a premier company, a major player in cloud compute, leading the charge with AI, etc...They should be known for pushing the AAA gaming standard (whatever bar that is...). Which they aren't
Only a week or so more of this
Why you're only wanting to draw comparisons to what Sony are doing instead of considering the broader gaming landscape I don't know. And even if you are to only consider Sony what you're suggesting is still questionable considering some of their more recent partnerships with the likes of ember labs, enhance and annapurna.
Pointless to talk to people on here. Clearly. We watching a live account suicide here boys?
Just to clarify. You mentioned people rejected the idea of AA games and Gamepass as to reasons why the Xbox division is failing to expand at an acceptable rate (which is partially true).Yeah that's what I just said. They're pushing mostly AA games. The only disagreement is that I like that.
When you talk but don't make sense it is indeed pointless lmaoPointless to talk to people on here. Clearly.
There was Hi-Fi Rush and... uh... Pentiment? Redfall was AA too, right...?Its done guys. It literally makes sense to pivot at this point. Nothing else to say. Series consoles and GP were a last try at a golden age in gaming, and a resurgence of AA diversity, and consumers rejected it.
Right or wrong, PlayStation and Xbox are seen as the main competition of one another. And if you have history with the platforms, it's natural to look at where they are today and what they did in the past. I know I long for Sony's past even if that past included God of War which is one of the first snowballs that rolled down the hill to their AAA game development today. I don't really care for Sony's modern output but I don't begrudge the path they've taken as it is widely successful. And their outsourced efforts don't fill the holes that their internal efforts used to. Win the masses with the spectacle, win the hearts with the meaningful.
I do think Game Pass had added exposure on consoles to games with broader spectrums of game budgets. I think that's more by necessity of trying to fill out a games catalogue rather than being altruistic. And like you mentioned, they backed into some AA titles by means of acquisition so it's hard to pat them on the back for that though I guess they could have stopped production on those titles.
Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft have had various pushes throughout the years for smaller titles that tends to be moved to the background after brief stints in the forefront.
A lot of indies blow up big on steam before being ported to consoles, it's just a question of economics, look at V rising getting a port only now, Subnautica is another title that totally hit big, Hollow Knight too.Stuff like the God of wars are the highlights and understandably they dominate the discourse, particularly online. But let's not act like we've not had to suffer through a bunch of state of plays this gen that have been chock full of AA, A and indie games that are not suitable for the format.
It makes no sense to pretend stuff like Tchia, Humanity, Stray and Kena haven't existed. Then in-house there's stuff like Returnal, Helldivers 2 and Astro's playroom.
I don't know, maybe console centric gamers have this habit where they will only play what they are outright told to play via some service, but on PC a ton of smaller titles have found great success over the years. So this idea that Xbox and Gamepass are key to the continued survival of AA and A games (and that consumers have rejected those types of games) is absolute nonsense.
I am done as well unless it’s about a game I am playingPointless to talk to people on here. Clearly.

Please tell me that Xbox are the good guys. Its done guys. It literally makes sense to pivot at this point. Nothing else to say. Series consoles and GP were a last try at a golden age in gaming, and a resurgence of AA diversity, and consumers rejected it.
So if even insiders don’t know what’s up than are they really insiders?
Imagine if the announcement is that they're acquiring Playstation from Sony.
PC is the breeding ground for indies success, clearly A and AA games are not being rejected, gamepass is.
Most of these people aren’t insiders. A majority of the “info” and drama have been from idiots gathering clicks and in a lot of cases GAF was happy to oblige. I’ve seen so many supposed Xbox ambassadors I’ve never even heard of the last couple of days.
I wouldn't say 0 facts. but at 1 or 2 facts for sureme, reading these xbox-ded threads while knowing exactly 0 facts
That's a lot of projection coming from someone whose live seems to revolve around "Xbox fans".xbox fandom in a nutshell man, these dudes whole lives 'seem' to revolve around how xbox is perceived, and thats why they take it so hard and things are coming full circle for xbox. All these years of cap'n when the data clearly didnt reflect what these guys were tooting on game forums and twitter in there little echo chambers is now coming to a head and its time to pay the piper.
As i said in another thread a week or so ago, i expect alot of account suicides in the coming weeks.
I wouldn't say 0 facts. but at 1 or 2 facts for sure
it's never Phil's fault!! If only those pesky developers under him did their job properly, papa Phil wouldn't be scrutinized like this ...Trust in phil, he always delivers the best gaming value when he is charge. He has not let us down, stay strong
Yes you call them out on their sketchy first party games so far, but that’s on the developers letting phil down
you sound upset, hopefully you'll stick around a bit longerThat's a lot of projection coming from someone whose live seems to revolve around "Xbox fans".
Yep. We know there’s change coming since it’s a business update about the future of Xbox. If it were nothing then a business update wouldn’t be required.Yeah. Zero facts would have had a much different Tweet from Phil. There is certainly smoke, we just don't know how big the fire is yet.

So, you admit a steady decline in quality and offerings?I'm just saying, my position is the same its been for 3 years. MS is pushing AA games or even A games mainstream. That and a cheap console. That to me is a golden age. It got rejected. Even when I agree with you guys I get sass. I know PC exists. It doesnt discount anything I said.
And furthermore if it was a minor change then they would have been able to provide reassurance, and prevent their brand from being torched. For real. If the only thing they were going to announce was “oh hey Hi Fi and SoT are coming to other systems” then that wouldn’t be cause for a “business update” lol. Given what they’re calling it and how austere Phil’s tweet was, this is going to be a significant shift.
GO TO BED Gopher.lol....wow. I'm really not sure what it was that I said that got under your skin bro but it ain't worth all this. Sorry for the "go to bed" crack.
So we all Steam group now?Its done guys. It literally makes sense to pivot at this point. Nothing else to say. Series consoles and GP were a last try at a golden age in gaming, and a resurgence of AA diversity, and consumers rejected it.
Makes no sense to hold an event to say they're not going 3rd party.
They don't put out more AA games, they just release poor and broken AAA games.MS is putting out more AA games. Its not selling well. I literally didnt say anything controversial at all. This is what bugs me. But fine I'll let it go. My rational point is already muddied and a joke, thanks to you.
What Tom actually said was that people within XBOX don’t really know what MICROSOFT is going to say/do….the wording is key.
Think about it.
if people in Xbox don’t know what is happening, why is the head of Xbox doing an announcement next week? If he knows, surely at least the higher ups know.
None of this makes a lick of sense.
Before this, they were just known as "Miku."The mods can ban me anytime they want. I'm on probation until March.
