lol, and all the save memory issues due PS3 split RAM structure.

Because Bethesda currently employs some of the most incompetent people in the industry.
Currently? They always have. Skyrim and Oblivion on PS3 comes to mind. Even Morrowind on Xbox was so badly coded it had to restart the console in the background during loading to free up RAM.

I didn't get that, I own the physical Skyrim game that came out in 2017 and I didn't get a free upgrade, is there a reason for that?
I think you need to have the Anniversary Edition for free upgrade. Let me do some snooping to check.

If you already own The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim on Switch then you can pick up the Switch 2 version for a small cost — or maybe even free. You see, the Switch 2 version is the fancy Anniversary Edition, which includes the three official expansions that have been released, plus hundreds of Creation Club items. If you have the standard version of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim on Switch, then, you can upgrade to the Switch 2 Anniversary Edition for £17.99. And if you own the Anniversary Edition on the original Switch, you can upgrade to the Switch 2 version for free.
£17.99? Fuck that.

Its Bethesda, what you guys expect? lol
Whoever buys this shit deserve all the bad things happening since 30 fps is just the tip of iceberg. Almost sure this version brings even more bugs and glitches.

Fuckers didnt even put it on Sale on Switch ... 60 Euros for an old shit game LMAO FUCK MY ASS
Game was on sale weeks ago for 20
Same like the fps on switch 2

How the fuck is this not 60fps.

Most games on Switch 2 have the same framerate as the PS4 version with better IQ. It is what it is.

The problem is the CPU.
Not PS3 games, no. We have already several examples of PS3-gen open-world games running at 60fps on Switch 2 (which the PS4 couldn't do).

This is just laziness.

Cool update tho..

Physical owners can upgrade and not use the game cart anymore.

So resell it is

The Switch 2 Anniversary edition currently sells for 65£ on the Eshop.

15 year old game. 30fps.

EAT. MY. SHORTS.

For the people who have the physical edition and the anniversary upgrade.

Delete all the gamedata on your switch and unload the virtual gamecard for the dlc.

Put the cartridge back in and reload the files, say no when it asks you to download the virtual card.

Now press Y when in the main menu, the game will load the storepage with the free version and if i'm right i don't need the cartridge anymore to play the game.

Apparently it's 30 fps, but it has DLSS AA.

How do you not get 60 fps, my pc in 2011 was running it at that.
According to Reddit it's still 30fps. Kind of disappointing as this is an old ass game.
Running an old game like that at 30 fps is lazy in another level.
No 60 fps is true what the fuck????
Anyone justifying a 2011 game being rereleased on 2025 hardware at 30fps needs a reality check.

£17.99 is the price of the standard Anniversary upgrade for Switch. It goes on sale for £8.99 every 6 weeks or so, slightly more palatable but they should have done a dual free upgrade including for people who just own the base game.

Considering I only expect the bare minimum from Bethesda this has actually surprised me. The textures being used here are a big improvement and the resolution looks markedly improved also for a very clean and nice image.

Quietly, the Switch 1 version of Skyrim ran very well and looked quite good for what it was. The only thing that kinda sucked was long load times but that should probably have been expected when trying to load off the slow Switch storage

Oh well. I hope Skyrim gets ported to Apple TV and Samsung Smart Fridge soon

How can you expect this to be more than 30 fps on a Switch 2? What a grand and intoxicating innocence. How could you be so naive?
