Pay for upgrade if you want World Stage rollback. So I'm confused about this one. I already own PS4/PS5 version ultimate showdown. Can I access to 4k 60 fps with rollback on PS5 for free or do I have to buy the 10 dollars Revo upgrade?
Ok thanks for infoPay for upgrade if you want World Stage rollback.
It varies. Usually it feels like you are playing right next to someone but occasionally there is some teleporting and a hit interaction completely changes in front of your eyes like your opponent is using a reality stone. The input delay varies a bit too.Ok thanks for info
Is it good? I mean the netcode
Final Showdown version of Virtua Fighter 5 (worst revision two gens ago) is the stripped down mini-game. World Stage has a sharp resolution and higher fidelity textures alongside many balancing/mechanical improvements and content. Virtua Fighter 5 Ultimate Showdown (last gen) was rebuilt on Yakuza Engine and R.E.V.O./World Stage improved on it (current gen with rollback netcode) but the lighting is not exactly high tech. World Stage is the best version.Question boys :
I've been playing Judgement (Yakuza spin-off) on my PS5 Pro and VF5 world stage is available as a mini game , thing is, characters and backgrounds are fuzzy and low resolution (especially background textures), is VF5 REVO better in that regard ? Is the game engine the same ?
Thanks

Game is gorgeous.
Report back after you play. Do the city with cars stage at night to get maximum stiffness.Very, very thourough explanation, appreciate it brother
Fook me that looks nice, thanks Arsic !
Anyway, before posting I did try to watch some comparisons on YouTube earlier but, most of them were between the original VF5 and the newer REVO version. To be honest, I couldn't always tell which was which since I even came across some World Stage footage mixed in.
The last time I properly played VF5 was back on the Xbox 360 and I enjoyed it a lot.
Anyway, thanks a ton. I'm going to buy it ASAP, Cheers.

World mode is a lot of fun and easy brain off good times until you get into higher ranks for it. Unlock items for characters to equip along the way.
The game in 4K in motion is a treat for the eyes sometimes looking better than tekken 8, although tekken beats it overall visually.
Mechanically I can't think of a current fighting game that feels approachable to jump into anytime I want other than VF5. Not including old retro games you have legacy skill in, but just current modern offerings. Too many require too much time investment just to play at a basic level.
Granted I'm a Goh main so it's easier to manage the complexity and just dive in compared to say Vanessa.
I am certain you can turn on input display for the more complex commands. As for the inputs I can play it relatively easily on controller with this mapping:There's no way to understand the proper timing for some moves - even though there's a text explanation before you begin - couple that with the lack of visual demo explanation like, say, in the DOA games where if you don't "get" how to perform a move the game will show it to you by pressing a button.
That, and the fact that...these games NEED an arcade stick since there's many moves where you have to slide/piano your fingers from one button to the next which I find almost impossible to do by using the dualsense - tried the new (to me) white haired Karateka and I just nope'd after going midway through his movelist training.
World Stage mode is the meat of the single player experience. It's a game for the already faithfull/established fanbase/that know what they're getting into since it's pretty barebones as modes go and the training could be better IMO, for the 14€ I spent I can't complain though, I'll just chill with the arcade SP mode for a couple of matches here and there
Training mode could need some explanation behind the fast inputs, like, how fast? Well Wolf Swing need to be one frame per input, so a VERY fast rolling motion which might be more feasible on a stick with a short throw.
VF5 REVO looks so good because it isn't destroyed by filters, haze and gimmicks. Its clean AF. The sound FX is my only issue here really.

If you are referring to the Giant Swing then it is a simple half-circle forward followed by the P+G (which can easily be mapped to a single button). The command throws in Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter are more complex and less lenient.
I didn't even know there was a just frame version and still can't do Akira's knee despite playing for decades. Its another, the just frame version. It needs to be done extremely quickly. Trust me that one isn't easy. Its akin to Akiras Knee.
Don't worry. I can't do a perfect EWGF in tekken consistently for the life of me trying.I didn't even know there was a just frame version and still can't do Akira's knee despite playing for decades.

That's weird as execution is pretty lenient compared to a lot of just frame moves...Don't worry. I can't do a perfect EWGF in tekken consistently for the life of me trying.
That sucks. I have yet to run into anyone like that playing on PC.Yeah so this Ranked online is rather busted.
Out of 10 players you find on PS5, over half of them are trophy boosters who either idle or are in a turbo controller loop. My last 5 matches went like this. One straight idled, and another did a Kick loop with Vanessa. Which means you get free wins as DQ isn't an option. Which means these W/L ratios of everyone are likely busted. Some of those guys had a siginificant amount of wins, probably because they match idlers as well.
